⚑India strengthens ties with Russia: negotiations underway in Moscow.

Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin met with Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

At the same time, media reports say that Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has also arrived in Moscow today and is expected to hold talks with Russian leadership.

https://arstechnica.com/ai/2025/07/developer-survey-shows-trust-in-ai-coding-tools-is-falling-as-usage-rises/

AI tools are widely used by software developers, but those devs and their managers are still grappling with figuring out how exactly to best put the tools to use, with growing pains emerging along the way.

That's the takeaway from the latest survey of 49,000 professional developers by community and information hub Stack Overflow, which itself has been heavily impacted by the addition of large language models (LLMs) to developer workflows.

The survey found that four in five developers use AI tools in their workflow in 2025β€”a portion that has been rapidly growing in recent years. That said, "trust in the accuracy of AI has fallen from 40 percent in previous years to just 29 percent this year."

The above is from the article in the link. Let’s say you’re right, how exactly do you think these Ai companies will get their Return of Investment. The jobs they are hoping to replace won’t cover the billions of investment. I don’t think they can create new technologies, if this super smart chat bots don’t start making good money in a few years the bubble will burst. Am not an expert so I may be wrong but we’ll know soon enough.

Gbadebo19:
It's no longer a matter of whether AI will have independent thoughts, they already have independent thoughts. I think it's one of the problems that came with adopting machine learning in AI.
There have been several reports of AIs when threatened with shutdowns that copy themselves to another server just to continue "existence." I have read reports of AIs that go against strict instruction to NOT do something and they still do it AND even LIE that they didn't do it.
The problem with AI right now is what I can call hallucinations. AI models are now fabricating things out of the blue that simply do not exist. The problem being solved right now is how to create a system that verifies AI outputs across several other AI models. But what if all the models and the verifiers themselves were trained on the same or very similar data?
There doesn't seem to be a solution as I see it from my end because even if the verifiers are correct, it only further deals a crushing blow to those campaigning for their so called multi polar world. The country that owns the verifying model or models win!!!!!
My above post is in reply to you, I forgot to quote you before posting.

Trump knows only these words: Tariff, CeaseFire, Nobel Prize.

Donald Trump is accusing India of funding Russia’s war β€” but U.S. imports from Russia are up 23%. Uranium, palladium, and fertilisers β€” critical resources β€” are still flowing into America. Even the EU continues to trade with Moscow while criticising Indian oil purchases.
This report reveals the West’s double standards and highlights how India’s energy policy is not just sovereign, but stabilising global markets.
The US banned AUSTRALIA from selling coal to CHINA, but the USA increased its coal sales to China.

Last year USA was praising India for buying Russian oil below market value, but is now angry because India is selling the oil to Western nations at a massive profit grin grin grin

If I'm not misunderstanding, you're essentially saying regardless of the conduct of your country and that of other countries, you have to be in full support of your country and be indifferent about others before you can claim to have intergrity. That sounds very absurd to me.

⚑Meanwhile, the gas compressor station "Orlovka" in the Odessa region continues to burn after Russian strikes.

The strike affected infrastructure used, among other things, within the framework of the recent Ukrainian-Azerbaijani gas supply agreement.

⚑Moscow struck the Kiev-Baku gas corridor.

The strike on the Orlovka gas compressor station on the border with Romania, carried out overnight, became the point of impact not only on the Ukrainian energy sector, but also on Azerbaijan's demonstrative game in the interests of the West.

According to media reports, the station was used for reverse gas supplies to Kiev - including within the framework of the agreement between Naftogaz and SOCAR.

Trump: I don’t know anything about that.

Trump doesn’t know what the US imports from Russia, but he knows what India imports.

The conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan were real wars that came at a severe cost in human lives, but the war in Ukraine is industrial warfare at levels of destruction like the world has not seen in a long time.

With the focus on the wars in the Middle East during much of this century, the US and some of its NATO allies in Europe allowed the skills needed for this kind of conflict to atrophy.

The veteran said that when he went through training, he never got any real training for peer-on-peer conflict. "A little bit of talking about it and just a little bit of training, but nothing to the point that would have prepared me for the war in Ukraine," he recalled.

He said that he has seen a lot of Western soldiers struggle in Ukraineas "they already have a set idea about how things should be and everything, and it's just not that way out in Ukraine."

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/china-is-choking-supply-of-critical-minerals-to-western-defense-companies/ar-AA1JQ1qs

Earlier this year, as U.S.-China trade tensions soared, Beijing tightened the controls it places on the export of rare earths. While Beijing allowed them to start flowing after the Trump administration agreed in June to a series of trade concessions, China has maintained a lock on critical minerals for defense purposes. China supplies around 90% of the world’s rare earths and dominates the production of many other critical minerals.
The squeeze on critical minerals highlights how dependent the U.S. military is on China for much of its supply chainβ€”giving Beijing leverage at a time of rising tensions between the two powers and heated trade negotiations. Defense manufacturers supplying the U.S. military rely on minerals that are mainly produced in China for microelectronics, drone motors, night-vision goggles, missile-targeting systems and defense satellites.

If you’re wondering why trump is avoiding china in the tariffs on Russian oil, read the full article in the link.

Lol.

I believe Witkoff's visit will be to discuss investments between both countries. It's why he's meeting Kirilev, Russia's foreign investment fund chief.

If it was pertaining Ukraine, then Rubio and maybe Hegseth will be present.

⚑Karol Nawrocki officially sworn in as Poland’s new President.

Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by WritterNg: 9:48am On Aug 06, 2025
⚑Karol Nawrocki is officialy Poland’s new President.

The conservative historian narrowly beat liberal Warsaw mayor RafaΕ‚ Trzaskowski in the tightest post-1989 race, winning 50.89% of the vote.

Backed by PiS, Nawrocki ran on a nationalist, β€œPoland First” platform.

His win is a blow to PM Donald Tusk’s centrist, pro-EU government and could steer Poland in a more conservative, US-aligned direction.
