DeepSight:Why must you use England? Why not our mates like South Africa, Rwanda Malaysia indonesia and the rest? Abi these countries mentioned to are over a thousand years? |

LeeSmart:And for you, those countries are picture perfect? Each has its challenges and all still cannot move at the same pace. Remember that Nigeria is a melting pot of over three hundred ethnicities and languages. This in itself creates a level of conflict and tension which slows development. It took Europe centuries to beat its conflicts and arrive where it is today - and Europe as a whole is not as diverse as Nigeria alone. |

anonimi:These are micro-homogenous states which you cannot compare to a 300 ethnic group/ behemoth of over 200 million people like Nigeria. What do we gain from making excuses for our failuresIs stating the obvious that it will take time making excuses? Whether you like it or not, it will take time. There is obviously a lot that we do scandalously wrong though. No one is denying that. |

DeepSight:Agu, what does this mean abeg "This country is merely 65 years old. A country like England is over one thousand years old." Was it like the human beings that currently occupy the geographical area now known as Nigeria came into existence just 65 years ago while the English and the rest have been living for hundreds of years? Also, how come some countries as old as England are not doing as well while countries like the USA which are much younger are doing far better? |

SmartPolician:Calm down. The Bini kingdom was doing oil palm trade with Portugal for decades before Nigeria was created. The current problems with Nigeria are more to do with the nature of the imperfect union, forced together by the British. Even with all these issues we are making strides, and turning things around. The future is bright |

Forkthiefnubu:200 years ago most English were living in slums and child labour was common. Today the country is effectively broke, with debt more than 100% of GDP. |

bjdon:I'm not talking about Edo State, the state is already doing well. I am talking about governors in other SE/SS states that ought to copy what Edo is doing and make a lot of money from it. The two regions have arable lands for palm oil production. Instead, the governors are mostly interested in getting the peanuts from Abuja and relaxing afterwards. |

DeepSight:Oga, it is not the same day God created heaven and earth? which one Nigeria is 65 years and England is over 1,000 years. Did England existed several years before God created Nigeria? You are one of the people who believed that Mongo Park discovered River Niger even when Nigerian have been drinking from the River. |

Offpoint1:Only public listed companies (plc) are quoted on the NGX floor. There are lots of private companies highly capitalized in billions of USD. That's wealth management bro. Ownership structure is a big deal in business. Meanwhile, MTN just got listed recently after a lot of pressure and still a lot of Nigerians still cannot access their shares on the floor of the NGX. I cannot afford to mention some top private players on here. |
