Although it has been raining since yesterday, we are still watching the concrete cast over the foundation as it cures. We will be pouring water on it to ensure proper curing.

Nice one, Oga Spyder880. With rising cost of materials, how much has so far been spent to get to this level?

spyder880:
This foundation was planned to cost a little less than 14m. The modification we did in this foundation plan was threefold, adding 2 reinforced beams, and using only sharp sand to do the filling. We also had to raise the height of the foundation by about 450mm to beat the possibility of flooding in this area. The total money spent on this foundation is nearly double of the budgeted amount.

We will be fighting to remain below the next budget as we plan to resume works here later this weekend. More updates later. Thanks.
