I support the punishment meted out to the pilot. He was reckless and mean. Probably he graduated from Danfo driver to Molue driver in Oshodi before securing a license as a Pilot.

He doesn't care even if KWAM 1 is crushed or not.

If the wing of that Airplan had struck Wasiu on the head, I doubt if there is any meaningful thing Tinubu would have been able to do to save him. It is plain stupidity to stand in front of an airplane thatnis about to take off. What was he thinking?

The pilots did not handle the matter with all the professionalism and calmness required and AVSEC failed in their duty by allowing Wasiu to board with such volume of alcohol in violation of safety regulations in the first instance.

Yeah, they all are blameworthy, no doubt about that. I just pointed out that the musician believed his influence was enough to make him do anyhow, which is typical of the elites in the society.

Judging from the video, there's no evidence he obstructed the flight. Let's say he did, the authorities should've informed the security agents to escort him out of the run way and then take appropriate action on him.

But from the video, the pilots are to be blamed here because they could've killed the people on ground

Judging by this clip, the pilots and airport marshalls acted very unprofessional. Arrest him and take him off the runway before taking off because of likely accidents. According to this video, he endangered his life and that of other airport officials.
Another angle is the pilots might not have seen him and it rests on the officials or Marshalls to clear the ground, and in a sane country he would be in jail and be facing the full music. However, some people are quite above the law here.

Even with a private jet, you still need to follow airport rules and aviation rules because you can build your own airstrip, the government controls the airspace where your private jet will fly. Don't forget what happened to Naira Marley back then
