Lagos Police Hunt Two Women Over Alleged Lesbian Act by Editorialtimes(op): 3:01pm On Aug 07, 2025
By Henry Ovie | Lagos | Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria – Security operatives in Lagos have launched an active manhunt for two women, Adeola Adebogun and Yetunde Biodun, who are reportedly wanted in connection with an alleged same-sex relationship, assault, and evidence tampering.

According to a statement obtained by The Bureau News from law enforcement sources, the incident allegedly took place at Adeola’s residence on 2 Alhaja Sekinat Street, Fadeyi, where the duo was reportedly discovered in a compromising situation by a concerned resident, Mr. Olumide Oni.

Resident Allegedly Assaulted While Attempting to Record

Police reports indicate that Mr. Oni attempted to record the scene with his mobile phone, which allegedly prompted a physical confrontation with the women. He claimed that during the scuffle, they assaulted him, damaged his phone, and disposed of it in a dumpster to destroy evidence.

"The altercation resulted in injuries to the complainant," a police officer familiar with the case confirmed to The Bureau News.

The women were invited for questioning in April 2025, after which charges of assault, stealing, evidence destruction, and refusing lawful arrest were filed.

Defendants Granted Bail, Fail to Appear in Court

While Adeola and Yetunde were initially granted bail following their arraignment, authorities said the pair have failed to appear in court since then. Their absence has now prompted security agencies to declare them wanted and intensify efforts to locate and apprehend them.

Lagos State Police Command assured the public that the search is ongoing and called for information from the public that could lead to their arrest.

Legal Implications and Public Concern

This case has sparked discussions around privacy, legal boundaries in personal conduct, and human rights, especially within the framework of Nigeria’s legal stance on same-sex relationships.

The Bureau News will continue to monitor this developing story and provide updates as police investigations continue.

This is the first time in my life of seeing how a police statement looks like. I've never been to the police station ever in my life even to visit people. God is wonderful grin

it is their body and their right to do what they want with it. I don't understand how police will tell a grown up woman not to kiss another woman.

And in the meantime thousands of Nigerians are killed every month and nothing is done to protect them, but they waste time on 2 human beings who want to live their life. If God did not want lesbians He wouldn't have created them. This useless "concerned" citizen should get a life, he's probably a rapist, but that is applauded in Africa.

It lyk dix alcohol in the prohibition period. In the past, it was illegal just like drugs, until the law corrected it
Smugglers like Al Chap were no longer cashing out and it abuse and police harassment dropped.

Same as Marijuana in some states in USA. What people do with their body is their right. What you consider bad, may be right to another person.

Civilization has a long way to go.

how can u see two matured women practising sex and what comes to ur head is to video them. He is even lucky they are average citizens, if not, they would have locked him up for privacy infringement.

Imagine, he even had the effontry to go to the police.

Mr Oni is a shameless man and a typical pervert who was caught in the act but now hiding behind the law in shame! Were the women caught outside in public space? No! They were in the room! When did we start poking our noses into people's private apartment to record their crimeshuh How did a man stop this low?

The nosey frustrated man probably demanded sex from the two women and then became violent when they refused his idea.

Jealous people will get desperate enough to kill once they are sexually aroused, so the women are lucky the man didn't produce a knife.
