Stop arguing! You called it a “propaganda” yet you couldn’t provide a single resource to make disprove it.

Nigerians and I-must-be-right mentality.

For a mere fact that food is wasted doesn’t mean it goes round.

Think smart.

Lot of politicians squander money in Nigeria, does it mean everyone is a millionaire in Nigeria.

I’m living here. You are not. Stop arguing blindly.

I will use the same ChatGPT that you attached to prove you wrong.
You are arguing blindly. Let's take a totally penniless person in US. He lives in a shelter where he's given 3 meals a day. In addition, there are several soup kitchens around where he can get free cooked meals, there are also several food pantries around for free food. In addition he gets substantial monthly free money for food.
Please tell us:
HOW ON EARTH WILL THIS PERSON BE HUNGRY??!!

Apologies for thinking you were smart and dignifying you with a response.

I said not everyone could AFFORD three square meals in the United States, you were ranting.

So if the guy you referenced in your scenario could AFFORD a meal, why would he needs social services help.

You ended up validating the fact that not everyone could AFFORD a meal in the US like I previously schooled you.

I would ignore you henceforth.

This song story is a work of fiction, laden with inconsistencies. An infantile attempt by the headless mob to dent the image of the current federal government.

Bros, you didn't make a mistake in anyway. You can make the N45M within few weeks when things stablize for you. This is just a phase and it will eventually pass away.
I was there 3 years ago and today, I am happy that I made the tough decision of leaving my multinational job to abroad.
Today, I am gainfully employed by a bigger multinational company with a perk benefit of a 2025 brown new official car.

Your story will soon change.
happy for you sir on the brand new car smiley

A lot of Nigerians travel abroad with the mentality that money grows on the tree abroad.

Our brothers from the south east have the mindset that once you find your way out of Nigeria, then you've escaped poverty because the regard Nigeria as a condemned nation.

People who travel to western world to make it are people who went there prepaid alongside backup over there or back home (like relatives).

You don't just travel abroad with the mentality that you'll get a job once you land there. It's now becoming difficult for immigrants to make it over there if one isn't well prepared

My friend here's the video you posted below, which I said was propaganda and you shouted that it wasn't and went off on me for not living in US.
Do you now agree that it is propaganda? THAT US CAN MORE THAN AFFORD TO FEED IT'S CITIZENS?
Do you now agree??

Another fake "anti-japa" cock and bull story. I relocated to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada via Express Entry on 1st July 2025 (last month) and everything that I spent is wayyyyy less than N45 million. Food is not an issue because I go to food bank, transportation is about to be covered because I will soon be getting a reduced bus pass (more than 60% discount on monthly bus fare), I am still job hunting but my landlord has started giving me jobs to do around the house and paying.... if

Stories , Lies and Propaganda
If You did not so your research well, You have no one to blame

I have friends in Canada
One went with PR, he was a medic and is currently doing care and transitioning to study Nursing as Its not presently easy to get into Canadian medical.practice with a Naija or Eastern Europe medical degree and directly from Nigeria

Doctors, Radiographers, Sonographers, Biomedical engineers are in demand in Nigeria now

In Canada ,Nursing assistants, truck drivers, shop assistants, care givers, construction , forklift drivers are in demand so far You have your canadian residential papers

In Uk now, Entry Level Doctors are looking for Jobs

Would a tailor sew english suits to sell in a New Yam Festival Carnival

No Country gives foreigners jobs when there are enough indigenes to do the jobs
Its areas where indigenes are scarce and the jobs are essential that foreigners are considered

If You didnt Research Demand and supply and
How it applies to You and any country You want to go to; and Your chances of fitting or adjusting based on your situation and skills in this era where there is online information available free online ;with mass access to good internet capable chinese phones;
You have yourself to blame
You are informed. That's all I have to say

The car must be on higher purchase which will take him some years to pay. People tell too much lies about how they live in developed countries. They want you to believe that all is rosy for them
Only few people can relate.

Buying new vehicle is not the problem abroad but be ready to pay the financing through the nose

Very foolish people making foolish decisions. You had 45M and couldn't use it to change your life in Nigeria. There are several businesses he could have done with way less than 45m that would yield him returns within a short period.

If that's the case, Nigerians based in Canada would have bought all the lands and businesses in Nigeria.

One thing about abroad is that the system is designed in a way that as you are making the money, the system is taking it back from you. If you are able to save $200 every month after taxes, expenses and bills, you will thank God.

Using Toronto as example. If you make minimum wage of $2800 per month, your rent alone is average $2,200 for one bedroom.
You will still pay phone bill ($90), electricity bill ($100), water bill ($80), heating bill ($100), insurance for car ($150), food ($250) e.t.c

How much do you think will remain?
Well, I live here in Toronto, and have done so for years. I have worked in many places and now run a firm. I also lived in London for 15 years. Save your ignorance for people who don’t know these things.

If you want to be genuinely educated, I can give you a minute. Otherwise, stop speaking to what what you don’t know!

Money that will generate more than 100million for me even without leaving Nigeria.

Like someone above said "you die there oo" cause at this point there's no point coming back till you've bought your father's house back or repaid him.
As an igbo boy whose parents are struggling, he could have done better with that money in Nigeria..... But then what do I know except that
Abroad isn't for everybody

Me wey I no know how to raise millions to Japan no dey kuku bother myself about abroad 😀

I have two friends here in Ottawa whom my sister introduced me to that have been here for 4 years plus, they have adjusted and have both bought their houses and are working in their professions... sure, no arguments, for a few months they did survival jobs, but now they have adjusted.

You want to live a good life in Canada, stay away from Toronto and you will be fine.

Check the French TEF thread, I used to teach French but I am just maintaining the few that I have, I am not adding any new learners. Read through the TEF thread here on Nairaland and also the Express Entry thread - all the information that you need is there.

Basically, there is a French catergory in Express Entry and if you pass either the TEF or TCF exams, you chances of getting and Invitation To Apply (ITA) is very high because the cut-off scores for the French category is usually on the lower side.
