Being Naija is becoming "cooler" and dont be shocked when your eldest sisters kids start going for dirty December even Kemis kids will be blasting Burna boy at home and learn pidgin through the internet

I know a Naija friend in UK married to a white lady, He hasnt been to Nigeria in over 20yrs, Barely has anything to do with Naija anymore, lives in a small UK town barely meeting any African but his grown kids are always raving about Burna Boy and wizkid. Dreaming of going to Nigeria. One even said once he gets into college save some money Na to visit Naija

I know kids wey dem born for Yankee never been to Naija but now dem dey wear ankara trousers all over and eat Suya, Amala and abula almost every weekend
Abeg how do people do this, or get to this point?

I cannot imagine myself away for this long, talk more of not having anything to do with home.

For people like that, wherever they are with their loved ones is called Home. It doesn't matter whether the place is Naija or antarctica.

Myself for example, If I relocate with my nuclear family and I'm able to have my siblings & mum relocate too; I don't really see anything I'm coming back to do in naija.

I believe she may have some social issues and may be on the autism spectrum

Even as a University student she used to make some over-serious trolling hard right political blog posts while her fellow students were busy partying and kolobing
Maybe sha; just maybe she's one of these people that will say whatever they feel about a situation and won't even care about political correctness . They don't care about other people's feelings.

Abroad na new world and everyone has their own peculiar story.
Some people when leaving Nigeria due to their circumstances when leaving, left without any intentions of looking back. Like life n Naija was so hard for him and escape never to look back.

There is a 2nd group where the reality of abroad is not what they experienced overwhelmed them and just got lost in life.
How do you make of a guy fairly comfortable in Nigeria, went abroad fell on hard times homeless,
Imagine a Banker in Naija who is driving cabs or uber abroad, or landed in jail, or isn't doing well why will he want to maintain contact? To him the best thing is for anyone who knew him in his former life to forget him. While his former friends might be expecting that Emeka will be a top guy at Goldman Sachs now, guy no get paper, and he dey work for factory sweeping the floor or he is in one aduro camp in Cyprus. Maybe he has been hopping from one country to another. Na recently I heard Naija guys dey travel by ship go South America and join the caravan going to Yankee, trekking r hitching buses from Venezuela to Nicaragua to Panama to Mexico and hoping to enter US, The guy that told me say many Naija people dey on that route, some don lost

Just like the people who go through Sahara hoping to end up in Spain, Many have been stuck in Mali, Burkina Niger and Libya for years. Spend 5yrs in Burkina raise money, enter Mali, spend 3yrs raise money enter Mauritania or Libya hoping to enter Spain

These 2nd group are many.

All those London uncles that we thought life was soft for only to come here and realize uncle has been living in council flats for the past 30yrs

After your first return visit to Naija, e no sweet like that again

Imagine after another 5 or 10 years abroad, you return home and someone picks you up from airport for trip from MMIA to Ibadan in a car with no seatbelt

Your church mind will be telling you you need to get back to civilisation fast before Naija people kill you.

I think JJ Omojuwa has been booked by baba Emilokan to constantly attack Peter Obi. But who actually booked our own dear Airmark? I mean Airmark has now joined forces with egbon Dayo (two guys that never agreed on anything before) to be attacking Peter Obi.

If I become Naija presido today, I don't need to wait for months before picking my ministers. I get them plenty on this forum grin grin grin grin
Ibime stands out as my Minister of Education (STEM)
Egbon Dayo will be my Bayo Onanuga
Oasis surely takes the minister of information (good news)
Airmark will be the minister of Attack (propaganda for propaganda)
Spy and theflint assume the ministers of defence(Fact checking)
The list goes on........

Most of my friends that we worked together have also japad. When you are going to Naija you are now trying to seek out friends you were not really close to when you were leaving

2. You were not really a Lagos person maybe from Anambra Osun or Benue before you travelled. when you enter Naija and want to go to relive your memories back home. you heard your community in Anambra is a no-go area now, where you can be murdered or have to pay ransom, Your town in Osun now looks abandoned like a village dilapidated, or your town in Benue has been turned to Fulani vs Idoma Hell-classico venue

You will just realize that those memories that I cherished are gone and lemme just cling to my realities before something bad happens to you

Truly in party mode, Nothing sweet pass Naija, Imagine in Lagos from one wedding to one birthday to one Burna show to one after party lounge. Everything bubbling. Millions of USD sunk in 30days

Its like paradise, Unlike abroad where Dec 26 na working day for US and Xmas day sef by evening some healthcare workers don dey wear scrubs to go clock in

No enjoyment, everything na work work work

Naija is good if you are visiting as a tourist and stay within the posh parts of lagos. And you have forex cash.

This is key. As a tourist, what you represent to the host community is economic opportunities and USD, so they are normally nicer to you. vs your version living with them and on their level

Those Naija boys/girls that will be chasing an overweight or much older tourist is not because they are feeling your vibes but they are smelling your Dollars. What they wont take from a fellow "local" they will take from a tourist with money. Its better you realize it and not deceive yourself thinking you fine pass the boys she is ignoring because they are "locals"

Same thing when Lagos people visit village, or Naija boys visit East Africa and American Passport bros travel to Caribbean and Asia

@Raumdeuter It didn't take days for Wasiu to fold.

I guess he has taken time to make a sober reflection on the implication of the no-fly ban and decided to apologize.

I hope they allow his ban to stay a couple of months before lifting it.
