The REAL HUNGER that no one in the world cares about While the global media focuses on the "hunger" in Gaza, the ongoing war in Sudan has left thousands of children in a severe state of malnutrition. Tens of thousands of families have been forced to abandon their homes, and now they are unable to buy food for their children. At the same time, medical centers have collapsed and run out of the necessary nutritional supplements to treat hunger conditions. Global interest? Marginal compared to Gaza. According to UNICEF data, in the Khartoum region alone there are more than 300,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition. Of these, 26,500 are in critical condition. Worrying numbers also come from other areas. Across Sudan, the Ministry of Health reported that between January and April this year, 130,322 cases of malnutrition were recorded, a significant increase of about 50,000 cases compared to the same period last year. Sudan, formerly known as the "breadbasket of Africa" due to its vast agricultural resources, now faces a grim reality. Wars, conflicts, and sieges have caused a severe deterioration of all resources, and most of the population remains unable to support themselves. The Sudanese Doctors Organization reports that about 45,000 children have died from malnutrition since the start of the war, and in addition, thousands of children suffer from severe neglect and abuse.

Seymour Myron Hersh (born April 8, 1937) is an American investigative journalist and political writer. He gained recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he received the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting Why wasn't Seymour Hersh who exposed the US war crimes in Vietnam arrested and tried under the Espionage Act of 197 Charles J. Hanley is an American journalist and author who reported for the Associated Press (AP) for over 40 years, chiefly as a roving international correspondent. In 2000, he and two AP colleagues won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting for their work confirming the U.S. militaryās massacre of South Korean refugees at No Gun Ri during the Korean War Also another journalist who exposed the US war crimes in Korea, why wasn't he indicted by the government for breaking the Espionage Act of 1917??. The "Abu Ghraib" torture and prisoner abuse was made public when U.S. television news-magazine 60 Minutes II, a franchise of CBS, broadcast a story on the abuse. The story included photographs depicting the abuse of prisoners how many CBS crew were charged under the Espionage Act of 1917 Yet one fellow has been running from pillar to post trying to tell us that the US government targeted Assange because of war crimes ššš My last take on this issue |

dvkot:You really do have comprehension issues. Two categories of people charged with same offense. One category had access to courts, defended themselves and got their rightful punishment. Today, they are still alive The other person was tried behind closed doors, no reporters to tell anybody whether he was even tried fairly. At the end, that other person was poisoned with a nerve agents. And you are here ranting rƵbish. |

ā”The US and Russia are exploring a ceasefire deal in Ukraine that would cement Moscowās control over Crimea and the eastern Donbas, potentially forcing Kyiv to withdraw from parts of Luhansk and Donetsk still under Ukrainian control. The plan, linked to a potential TrumpāPutin summit, would freeze fighting along current southern frontlines but leave key disputes, like control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, unresolved.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/08/trump-wanted-a-us-made-iphone-apple-gave-him-a-gold-statue/ On Wednesday, Trump announced that Apple would be exempt from a threatened 100 percent tariff on semiconductors that could have driven up the cost of iPhones globally, Reuters reported. In an apparent effort to secure this exemption, Apple promised to increase its total investment commitment in the US by $100 billion, while also gifting Trump a one-of-a-kind statue that Apple CEO Tim Cook had engraved with Trump's name. According to The Verge, the statue was made by iPhone glass manufacturer Corningāwhich is partnering with Apple on its US investments. The specialty glass was cut into a large circle with a giant Apple logo in the center, designed by a "former US Marine Corps corporal" now working at Apple, Cook said. Adding glitz and a kiss of the ring, it features a 24-karat gold base and a message signed by Cook that says, "Made in America." (Cook said the statue "comes from Utah." ![]() Taco.

In the latest round of Trumpās tariff and sanctions battles, Bloomberg reports Russia has offered China discounted oil that India turned down, while Reuters says India has paused US arms purchases over Trumpās tariff policy.
