I wouldn’t have apologized, though I know why he did. It was an unnecessary distraction for president Tinubu who is actually the reason this happened to Kwam1 in the first place. My family is surprised I’m defending him cos I don’t really like him, but I’m all for fairness. Apc “loyalists” have no idea the kind of politics that’s being cooked for them, they’re not reading rooms, situations and things around them. K1 should have his own private jet now and I expect him to unveil one, it’s time. How many times has K1 travelled same way in the same condition without being disrespected? The politics of hate that’s being played right now is going to get a lot of not so smart people in the political crosshairs. They can’t get close to president Tinubu, so they will target the people they consider close to him. K1 just survived an assassin a few months ago(though the fake marriage ended last year)in the hand of a “wife” which I made the call 3 years ago before they “got married” that, some people are planting women in certain men’s homes for a mission. K1 did that apology cos it’s politically correct, though it closes a door, but opens another one and it’s a bad look for him and others cos they will be targeted more. Smart people prevent certain things from happening and don’t give enemies ammunitions. What he should have done as soon as he felt disrespected is, to quickly read their body languages alongside what they’re saying and just say something like “you want to stop me from boarding this plane” just to inform his fans who are around there and walk away, then go file a lawsuit against the Bolekaja. It’s all politics and I hope K1 and others who are targets have learned their lesson not to give these people weapons again. Expect more of this but Yoruba Apc must be guided, we’re already a low hanging fruit. President Tinubu is the only president that met Nigeria broke, comatose and doing his best to revive the economy, but still the most disrespected and abused because the evil that holds Nigeria is scared that he will remove Yorubaland from Nigeria and if that happens, Nigeria is dead. That’s it y’all, so expect them to go to hell and back just to stop him. If you’re a full blooded Yoruba, you should be supporting your own cos others are supporting theirs at all cost as you’re known as people who don’t support each other. Forget all the Yoruba sounding names including that of the pilot, they’re not Yoruba. Our enemies have figured out how to find one Yoruba man somewhere who is always the reason they’re claiming to be Yoruba even when all their grandmas, the other grandfather and both parents are not real Yoruba. When honest people who are mixed introduce themselves, they always say where both parents are from, they don’t claim just where one parent or grandparent is from, they say things like, I’m half this half that, but when it comes to Nigeria they claim to be Yoruba even when they’re just 6.25% Yoruba blood because it’s a weapon of mass destruction to ruin Yorubaland. |

It is so obvious I spotted it on day one. That a lot of people can’t see the political dimension is so surprising. Beyond the politics, K1 is a living legend that must be protected. He’s surely arrogant and proud but that’s human nature. Is there any one that is perfect? We celebrate Fela till today but was he perfect? Was his lifestyle exemplary? Can anybody confidently wish for their children to be exactly like Fela? |

Gibberish! Yeah the pilot is PDP and the owner of valuejet is ADC right?. |

wowcatty:I knew all these the moment I saw the interest of the OP that kept bringing updates of incident. He’s a known Tinubu/Yoruba hater, so I immediately knew it all had a political dimension to it. My only issue is with the liberal/docile Yorubas who can’t see the bigger picture |

Wow, truth be told, I never saw it from this angle. Unfortunately for Kwam1, I have been having issues with his conduct, but now I must admit that I overlooked the fact that he is just a human with so many imperfections. I should never have judged a man that God has decided to bless. If this was to happen to an Igbo person, I know how defensive they would all have been no matter the offence. We Yorubas are just too docile, a people surrounded by frienemies. |

Right! The only way out is to start shunning unpatriotic Yoruba, with time they will get the memo. One thing I realized though is that 99% of the people who don’t stand with Yoruba when the going gets tough have a mother tongue that’s not Yoruba. They speak Yoruba too, but their mom’s language, culture and ideas are the values they’re raised with, though some of us wrongly see them as Yoruba, but they’re on a mission and see we Ojulowo Yoruba as outsiders. Nairaland won’t let us go deep in that area. PDPdestroyer: |

Right! The only reason this happened to him is because he’s a Yoruba. Yoruba are the only people this can happen to in Nigeria. ajailer: |

He is a public figure who eered in a very disgraceful manner. Would you encourage your little child to throw tantrums and create a scene at school because he doesn't get his way? There's something called the Omoluabi ethos. When you breach it as a Yoruba person, our elders in Yoruba land must upbraid you even publicly. I know you are putting up this thread in line of the Yoruba/ibo division situation we have in the country, saying we must protect our own. We should follow the wrong bandwagon all in the name of tribalism and Tinubu politics? No wonder Africa remains the way it is. Ibos support Nnamdi kanu in the same vein as what you propose, what's the situation in their land today, Sit at home/incessant killings. We all saw the Wasiu video. That was pure madness and bad optics. All because he knows Tinubu. If you fall into the hands of people like wasiu, his thugs will deal with you like they are known for and there is nothing anyone can do to help you because he has friends in high places. That's when you will understand the downside of supporting bad things |

Yoruba people do not tolerate shamelessness. I mean true blood Yorubas, not those blinded by tribalism and Tinubu politics |

wowcatty:See how they reacted on the Mmesoma girl that forged her jamb result. It was them against the world despite the glaring evidence that she was lying. Even Oby Ezekwesili didnt mind soiling her reputation to support her due to tribal affiliations. 2027, I trust PBAT to shut up their mouth when he enters for his second term, but one thing is guaranteed sha, the hatred they are sowing, they will start reaping the full reward from then on. It's just so obvious that Peter Obi can't win and won't be sworn in as president in 2027, but they have chosen to be the fly that followed the corpse into the grave. Thanks for this info. Funny thing is, I never thought I will ever come to agree with you on an issue one day o. I always thought your support of Donald Trump in 2020 was a turn off. Lol. |

Fact! They always support every evil on their side, but quickly call it when we apply fairness to our own. As for Trump, you will love him too when he’s done. ajailer: |

Why do people have shallow reasoning and disguise it as critical thinking? He behaved badly but he should be overlooked because he's a yoruba man. A man steals money for his constituents or local government but MUST be protected from discipline because he's your tribe. The reason some of your traditional rulers have one or more fraud cases to their names. You tried talking down on women that she mustn't be given such opportunity.....so women should no longer fly planes to boost your ego..... I'm sure if the pilot were from that tribe you detest, you'd have mobilized people to protest against Valuejet..... When would we start addressing issues objectively in this country? |
| Re: K1: It’s All In The Politics. by seunmsg(m): 7:04am On Aug 09, 2025 |
Esthered:Did Mmesoma or whatever her name is not behave badly? Did she forge her jamb result or not? Did every single Igbo person not come out to defend her ? Did a former Minister of Education not come out to defend her? Did BTChief not offer her scholarship for simply forging her result? So, why should we crucify K1, a living legend at that over a small disagreement? He has even apologized to all concerned so what else do you people want? K1 is human and not perfect. His arrogance is his imperfection and like all specially talented people like him, we must overlook his flaws as his talent more than cover up for his shortcomings. We all love Fela today despite his flaws. |
| Re: K1: It’s All In The Politics. by Esthered: 7:18am On Aug 09, 2025 |
seunmsg:We must overlook flaws for someone people look up to? Are you saying that a celebrity can do wrong and there should be no consequences? Are you telling the next generation to be popular and do what they like as they'll always be excused? Has your culture that upholds excellence in character now allow people who are popular or financially successful to do bad things and MUST be excused? Are you training your children to pursue fame so that they can get away with anything? Who are the all that loves Fela? Speak for yourself please. His works are celebrated. He was anti government. I've not read where he did wrong to individuals. If it happened, please share the link. |
| Re: K1: It’s All In The Politics. by seunmsg(m): 7:29am On Aug 09, 2025 |
Esthered:Fela was a drug addict with a very bad influence on our youths. Even till today, we still have young people doing songs glorifying Fela’s weed smoking habit. His womanizing habit is another example. His music activism aside, he was a social nuisance. Yet, we overlooked all that and still celebrate him. Anytime security agencies arrest him when he was alive, there was always a national uproar for his release. Again, K1’s issue has taken a political dimension with haters of Mr. President trying the bring him down simply because of his political choices and nothing else. People who defended Peter Obi’s disastrous public service records daily and even awarded scholarship to a result forger like Mmesoma are now telling us to crucify K1 for just a small disagreement with a pilot. No, we won’t crucify K1 and we won’t allow Tinubu haters to crucify him. He has apologized and that’s the end of the matter. Everyone should move on and leave him alone. Period. |

K1 was baited and he fell for it. They used his weakness which is anger to get thr best part of him. Politics is beyond what people discuss on sm. That’s politics in play. He just messed up for standing in front of a taxing plane. That’s suicidal. I got scared of him because of my love for him. He could have been dead. However, he needed to make that apology because of a lot of factors. His brand, fans all over the world, people who look up to him, his status as a Chief and Olori Omo oba, his friends who are all over thr country serving in different govt capacities and others abroad and above all, for the govt, a man who adopted him as a child leads. But he has to be careful very careful. Something might not be right spiritually about him. |

Some of you will just wake up one morning and come online to be typing gibberish.... Politics made K1 to want to hijack a plane carrying over 100 passengers by standing in front of the plane as owomida that he is abi ![]() The miscreant should not have apologized to the aircraft, pilot, avsec security and the general public na, he thinks this one is the ganusi he did the last time..... |
| Re: K1: It’s All In The Politics. by flokii: 7:57am On Aug 09, 2025 |
Glad Yorubas are starting to wake up.. see Mmesoma that forged UTME result, still denied it until jamb released evidence before she finally admitted forging the UTME result, what happened to her? nothing. Igbos started making excuses for her so that Government won't prosecute her, she even met the commissioner for education in her State Anambra and got a hero's welcome. Compare to what happened with Kwam 1 and how the same people have been going all over the internet quoting laws and demamding that Kwam 1 be arrested and prosecuted, all because he is a public figure of Yoruba ancestry and likely because he is a PBAT person. If you still can't pick the hypocrisy and subtle political attacks, then you're irr.edeemable. |

Nobody's is commending mmesoma but condemning her actions but she's very ignorant and besides, her original score of 240 is more than enough to guarantee her admission.
