Good day guys, I'm a recent graduate from the department of Animal Science . I wanted Mbbs initially, but got to Animal Science due to low jamb score, after getting the admission, I took another jamb (100 level) with a higher score this time but still, no admission. This affected my grades during my early days in the university until 300lvl when I started enjoying the course, I learnt alot during this period and I also used this time to improve my grades up to when I passed out , making me graduate with 2-1. I understand the practical aspect of the course very well and it's a thing I'll definitely go into in the future (If not now). My problem now? I still love MBBS, I plan to attempt the next jamb and I need your opinion. 1. I'll be 24 next year, do you think it's a good idea to go back to school at that age? 2. I had it easy to do side jobs and make money during my undergraduate days in Animal Science, would that be possible in Mbbs? 3. Which medical school would you advise me to pick? |

Ayomid55:Can you do direct entry into that same uni you complete animal science? Well, age is just a number.....you can still go to school even if you're 25, just to achieve your aim Well, MBBS takes most of people's time rather than those lower courses Although you can do online businesses and freelancing jobs though I'd prefer you to go for OAU to study MBBS. It's a very good university for real! So you can still register for jamb next year and choose the uni. May God help you |

Lovelygirl23:Thank you very much Concerning the direct entry, I don't think Animal Science will be accepted as it isn't a medical course. |

If you love MBBS this much, you should have retried in 300 and 400 level. Time is not a luxury you have anymore and while I believe having a desirable qualification today can determine the trajectory of your life, losing another 8 years to study Medicine would set you back considerably. What's your main ambition really, the Doctor title and nobility of the profession or the opportunity to make a higher income and livelihood or the willingness to treat people? This would determine what I can advise you. |

Ayomid55:You're most welcome. You have to get ready for next year's jamb. Go through the syllabus. I bet you'll do well. Animal science isn't a course for real! You can't get a job in this country except you travel abroad. Courses that are making money right now in this era are Medical (nursing, doctor science etc), Education, and ICT. |
