Do you even know Nigeria has one of the cheapest petrol in Africa, yet we are so entitled. You want the government to keep subsidizing every gaddemn thing.

Guy Nigeria, is poor and most African countries are even poorer.
Mr Man that is a slave mentality. Nigeria is the giant of Africa and should be a shining light for other countries.
Compare Nigeria with the best countries and not the poor countries.

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

This statistically means in a hard economy like this people are still dependent solely on monthly paid salary??
Re: Only 8% of Nigerians Earn Above ₦250,000 - Ibrahim Suleiman by Yankee101: 3:51pm On Aug 09, 2025
A business person making 10k per day has a turnover of 250 to 300k monthly
The farmer harvests crops that are worth millions annually and majority of Nigerians are farmers, though banditary has affected the profession

I don’t think that statistics is true as regards to the working population

If they qualify it and say the entirety of Nigeria, perhaps, because Nigeria has a very young population is not yet employed. But if drawing the pay scale or ga or a country, you use only people of working age which is 15 to 64

Nigeria is not a rich country, yet spends extravagantly on governance even more than some western countries.

I am not even sure up to 8% of Nigerians earn #150,000 per month. With #70000 minimum wage that some states are not even paying how can 8% earn up to #250000. We are talking about 20 million Nigerians. Nope. Unemployed + underemployed will tell you that the statistics is wrong

Nigeria is the most populated black country in the world, that's the only reason it is called giant of Africa, it has never been the best at anything collectively! It is individuals that gave it some accolades, collectively Nigerians are shit! It is one of the poorest countries based on population hence it should be compared to shitholes not countries with sensible people!

Well, if it's naira, then the credit should go to Tinubu. Tinubu has put more naira in the pockets of Nigerians, only that he has also made the more naira to be of little value.

I just want to plead with our people to take the election process seriously. We have through our attitude allow wrong people to be leading us. If we get our election process right, Nigeria have great potential. We can develop faster even than many major economies of the world. Let us forget tribal, religious sentiments. It doesn't matter if you are from the north or south. We all have common need and when we see a capable leader we all know it. Before Tinubu came to power, most people know he cannot perform. Buying over other competitors or saying it is your turn can never make a good leader. He's uncaring and have been part and parcel of the corrupt system. We have seen hell in the last 2 years and yet some people are saying he should continue in 2027. Lets be united and get a good leader for ourself whether he is Ibo, Yoruba, hausa, south-south etc.

Because if it is based on unconventional jobs, brown collar jobs, business and enterprise Nigerians earn so much in a day. Start with Okada riders sef .
Leave them make dem dey cap.

People no earn reach 250k monthly but average Nigerians dey build Thier own house.

Okada and cab rides earns more than that monthly

Because if it is based on unconventional jobs, brown collar jobs, business and enterprise Nigerians earn so much in a day which the cumulative at the end of the month is hug, far above #250,000. #250,000 a month is just #8,350 a day. Start with Okada riders sef .
Be deceiving yourself.
Go and do the Okada and let us see how much you will make in a month.
