This is quite alarming. So, at this rate what would happen buy year 2044? Are we saying that if we maintain this trajectory, by 2044, you'd need about N1,000,000 to buy what you can buy today with N1000,000? Sound the alarms.

All these nonsense comparison. Minimum wage in 2006 was around 7,500. It is very important you guys put things in perspective. To have that 8k in your account at that time, you have to be above a certain financial level. |

9jatriot:Are you justifying such inflation? When will all these justifications end? You even said min wage was 8k, but your min wage now is 70k which is < 100k (The aforementioned, comparable amount now). Either way, this is still a void point as I have shown. |

When you compare expenses of 8k in 2006 to 100k in 2025, you should also remember to compare the minimum wage, that is what I have helped you to do before you run with the fake comparison. Even the things $100 could buy in the US in 2006 is not the same things it can buy now. YoshiMaster: |

What a people though - some - not all. Someone shows you how quickly your nations currency is failing and that extrapolated figures, don't look good based on historical data, yet, all a person can do is shove is off, as a useless concern. I don't know if the guy did that for political reasons, but this should cause every Nigerian to stop and think, like "just where are we headed and how can we reverse these things" Anyways, I'm done commenting here for today Have a great weekend guys, cheers! |

It is not everything that make you country look bad that you just consume hook and sinker without at least doing some mental exercise. Let us even do a calculation. At least we go school na. Average inflation rate in 2006 = 8.2% Average inflation rate in 2024 = 32.50% Divide 32.5 by 8.2, we get 3.96. Please explain to me how that amounts to 1k+ increase in inflation? Please run your own calculation if you think my own calculation is wrong. Here is where I got our inflactions rates from: https://www.worlddata.info/africa/nigeria/inflation-rates.php YoshiMaster: |
