Hello Nairalanders,
Some of us don’t need just a smartphone — we need a survival device. Between bad roads, rain, NEPA, and random moments of frustration, I need a phone that can keep up with real life here.

Here’s what I’m looking for in my dream phone — something between James Bond gadget and transformer:

Not the “don’t use in heavy rain” kind. I’m talking about IP69K — the highest rating for water and dust protection.
If my phone mistakenly enters water, I don’t want to panic. I want to reach in, pull it out, and continue my call like nothing happened.

🔹2. Fire Resistant – Not for Cooking, But Still

It’s not like I plan to grill suya with my phone, but if it ever ends up under the sun in a parked car or near the stove while I’m multitasking, it should survive.
MIL‑STD‑810H thermal testing level of resilience — at least enough to stay calm in heat, even if I’m not.

150W fast charging is good — anything faster is a bonus, as long as it doesn’t double as a heater.

I shouldn’t have to delete 2019 memories just to install a new app.
1TB internal storage with UFS 4.0 speeds, plus microSD expansion — because WhatsApp groups don’t know how to rest.

A phone that doesn’t freeze when you need it most. That doesn’t restart during calls. That doesn’t remind you to "free up space" every week.
One that understands the assignment and doesn’t take things personally when thrown lightly across the bed (or accidentally across the room).

I’m not asking for too much — just a device that can stand beside me in the trenches of daily Nigerian life. Until then, I’ll be refreshing Jumia and hoping someone out there is building this.

How I truly wish my dream phone can survive it. I can't spend my whole life saving to buy a phone that can easily break 💔
