My sister just had a new baby before her immigrant visa interview. At the interview, she was asked to pay $325 for the baby's visa and create a DS-260 form for the baby and the interview was rescheduled for another day. Can she pay the visa fee here in a Nigerian bank? Please can someone enlighten us?

I don't think she can. She is going to have to look for someone to pay it for her over there with their debit or credit card or through direct bank transfer.

Whats the problem?
The email would have listed the things you need to before the interview.
Start on those things first. Dont jump ahead of yourself.

It depends on how fast you get documentarily qualified at the NVC stage

I understand, I want to know about the medicals and av done police report during the time of documentation, do I need to redo it.
Moreso, I want to know about the document review b4 the main interview. No vex guys, I be JJC. 😂

After uscis ask u to submit necessary document like your pictures, immunization and all. Does this means they will process your case to nvc faster? Have been waiting for years

A capital yes. During my time USCIS also asked me to submit immunization cards or hospital records and other documents that recorded my birth and had the names of my parents on it.

After I submitted them they approved it in less than 2 months and sent my case straight to the NVC.

went through your old post why did nvc processed your application for years?

Everyone is JJC this is immigrant visa not non-immigrant visa
I think police report lasts 2 or 3 yrs.

For medicals , I'm sure the email told you where to go.
Book appointment quickly so you can get a date before your interview .

Just have all the documents you submitted for documentation printed. If you don't have 2024 tax transcripts or tax returns then ask your petitioner for it.Thats the most recent one so you need that.

Spouse of us citizen or spouse of legal permanent resident.
One has visa limit per fiscal year the other doesn't.

Either way, till your case gets to NVC and you are documentarily qualified then you can track when you were likely to be interviewed at consulate.

In your case your petition has yet to be approved so you wait.

It depends on your Visa category

It’s a long wait, calm yourself.

From Documentarily Qualified to Invitation Letter takes 13 months just so you know. No be 2 minutes Indomie something.


Just make sure you’ve uploaded all docs and keep the faith.

After you submit these documents they are asking for, it won't be more than 3 months before your case is transferred to NVC.. I went through the same process with USCIS too.

As for your final question, just get to NVC stage first. How long you stay in the NVC stage depends on how fast you and your petitioner are able to provide the documents that you need to upload to your portal. If y'all are fast, it won't be more than 6 months or say 1 year..

Don't overthink it. It's step by step, just get to the stage first, we are always here to help you once you get there.

Although I would have probably traveled sooner had COVID not delayed everything.

There are some family categories that can take up to like 14 years and maybe even longer..
