What is the name of the river, and how come no one else has evidence of the existence... not even bones to show... since you were 10 years of age?

I don't think it exist cus till now no one is able to convince the public how it look like or get the picture for public scrutiny so it is likely not existing or they are extra terrestrial-being not physical to ordinary eyes.

Guy they are real ,had a close encounter with one in imo river I was a thoughting Tomas like other nairalanders talking rubbish above.mine was in broad day light while I was doing my dredging work in the river,these beings or creature was playing around where I was working with it's beautiful tail splashing water at us .the tail color red as big as a whale own splashing water every where. I told my workers that this is just fish,I set net ,hook with meat as bait to catch them but never succeed in my quest till an elderly man from the community told to stop.its real oh,never in my whole life have I seen such beauty.am a Mariner for ur information

The name of the musician is Mr. Victor Olaye, a Yoruba man.

Every single society and culture on earth talks about mermaids going by one name or the other, don't you think that's a lot of coincidences ?

A myth

Mermaid are real ,they are documentary evidence out there . There was a time the U.S left Sonar equipment under the sea so they can quickly spot an approaching Sub Marine but to their surprise something was removing the Sonar equipments .. It took them time to realize it was a mermaid. Unfortunately A.I was design so we don't know what is real or fake any more .

What do you think Osun Oshogbo worshippers , eze nwanyi and the likes worship? It's those water spirits and if you go round the entire world including the western world there are people that worship and venerate those beings.
This world is huge. The Continents are so vast and the oceans even more larger and there are tons of creatures yet to be discovered in the deep trenches of the oceans so it would be foolhardy to think we know about all creatures on earth 🌎.

The 4 attached pictures of mermaids looks like ladies wearing mermaid suits however I have met a lady from Ogun state who told me she has seen one in her flooded community she said it was sitting on a submerged fence and later jumped into the water and disappeared when it saw her she said it wasn't beautiful as people were made to believe.

They exist,bro but may be in a different and more scary form than we think of them. I have some real life stories about these demonic creatures but will not like to share them here. If you have lived in coastal areas before you will know they exist. If God should open your "3rd eye", you will not be able to go to the market. There are demonic beings that move around but cannot be seen with our naked eyes. These iyemojas (Yoruba name for mermaids) are very pretty and can lure children into the river...make I stop here.
If you use some African juju to wash your face, you will run mad within a few days because of some strange things you will see around you. Men/Boys that have their brains being controlled by their 3rd legs do have s'x with some of these evil beings unknown to them. May God deliver us.
