ibabz: Kukutente23: obailala:Available records don’t support your claim. Hydroelectricity contributed approximately about 20% to Nigeria’s power supply. Thermal plants powered by gas now accounts for about 80% of electricity supply in Nigeria. We can give credit when it is necessary and stop trying to see no good always just because Tinubu defeated your Igbo brother.

Firebox123:You can't generalised that there is not improved power supply anywhere in Nigeria. We are on Band A and the supply has improved tremendously. We are having almost 24/7 supply . |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by Kukutente23: 6:57pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
seunmsg:Ok When did gas plants become our main source of electricity? 2023 abi? Guess who built and installed most of the power plants. OBJ. So do you love or detest him? |

Kukutente23:Yeah, that’s why power has been very constant in most parts of Nigeria since the Obasanjo administration, right? |

Firebox123:Why are you Nigerians like this? Imagine o😏 “All these to promote Tinubu reelection in 2027” With that statement, you just accused over 50 people of lying to pursue an agenda all because it’s not the same in your area. So typical of Nigerians. Well, here in Agric Ikorodu, we enjoy at least 18 hours of electricity everyday (I don’t want to exaggerate) some areas like Maya enjoy almost 24 hours daily and does that mean I’m also lying to promote one yeye reelection? The fact that you are not experiencing something doesn’t mean others are lying. |

WizardOfNG:You dey mind the enemy of progress, I don’t know why it’s hard for people to commend their oppositions when they are getting things right in this part of the world. If your condemnation is being done in good faith, you wouldn’t find it hard to commend your opponents when they are doing the right things. I hate it when people blindly generalize things. He didn’t even hesitate to claim that it was a propaganda campaign for Tinubu’s reelection. You no dey travel and you just assume that people from faraway places are all lying about their experiences. I don’t talk about things that I have limited knowledge of and I also don’t just blindly assume that the electricity is now better nationwide all because I’m enjoying it here in my own state. Blind generalization is a sign of ineptness. |

seunmsg:Power has not been constant anywhere in Nigeria. Nigeria's power need is about 50,000MW. Most of the 80% of gas plants is installed capacity since the time of Obj and Nigeria hardly wheels 50% of its installed capacity as you yourself can see from your picture. Meanwhile, the transmission grid largely remains the same and can handle max of about 8000MW which is just half of installed generation capacity of 16000MW. So can you explain where you guys are getting these lies of constant power from? Is it increase in generation, transmission or distribution? |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by Kukutente23: 7:20pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
Wickedlywicked:Well they are lying. They are all Tinubu media warriors. Imagine a Yoruba man telling us about how power has increased in Gusau in Zamfara |

Kukutente23:Okay, you are right if that’s going to make you sleep better at night ![]() Travel more, una no go gree. You are here commenting from your cave about what’s happening in cities where real humans live. Well, here in the city of Ikorodu (Agric, Maya and Adamo) the light situation have improved significantly. Even though I’m still not impressed because we still have a long way to go, it costs nothing to be truthful. I commend people with the same energies I use to criticize them and that’s exactly how normal humans behave. |

seunmsg:this my boyfriend so you don't know that there's always improved power supply during raining seasons? Na wa for you o!! |
| Re: Nigerians Express Happiness Over Improved Power Supply Nationwide by Kukutente23: 7:51pm On Aug 10, 2025 |
Wickedlywicked:What exactly do you mean by improved significantly? You guys think power supply is like picking up indomie from a shelf. They are just preying on the gullible to project their paymasters in good light How do you say power has improved just out of the blue? In the rainy season, there is more stable power supply in Nigeria due to the stability of hydropower supply. In the peak demand months of December, January, February power supply falters cause it coincides with the dry season when hydropower is at its lowest and the system largely depends on gas turbines. So claiming seasonal fluctuations in power supply and demand which has been the same for years as improved power supply is just pure ignorance. |

There is always improved electricity supply during raining season.Let's wait until dry season to see if there is improvement really. But believe me,this BAT government can't take us anywhere useful. It's already a failed government in every department of leadership. |

Kukutente23:If you believe hydro electricity is more than 20% I wouldn’t argue with you. If you think the gas plants are unreliable I wouldn’t argue with again. I know what I know and I know you’re clearly wrong. |

In ughelli, Delta where I stay... Power has improved considerably in the past 10 days. I've had light like 21 out of the last 24 hours since yesterday. I don't know what is driving The improvement. But I'm not in a hurry to be upgraded to Band A abeg, if that's their plan. |

It's been like that since January. The light, especially band A recipients, has improved considerably. While this is good, there are still other factors that need to be done to ensure it's nation wide. More generation, transmission and distribution is needed to ensure full nationwide 24/7 supply. This is a nice development... appreciate it but don't dwell on it as a yardstick... Other areas are in complete shambles—Also, No one graduates with 4.0CGPA by only 4-pointing one course🤔😂. |

Kukutente23:I read both the executive summary and the full report and all it talks about is the estimated amount of electricity billed to the customers as well the total amount of electricity generated. There’s nowhere in that report that alludes to your point of the unreliability in gas generation. Like I said and I will state it again, you are clearly misinformed. |
