Building a New auditorium is not cheap...

Holding Crusades is also not cheap
That is not what I asked you.

“I need at least 10 of my children who can give me at least one billion naira each, and another 100 of my children who can give me 100 million naira each…”
is this the "Lord's work"?

10*1billion = 10billion naira

100*100million = 10billion naira

which of the "Lord's work" do they want to do with N20b?

Poor church I guess.

The only ones making it in such churches are the ones the church turns to secretly whenever they are in need
Because no church runs without money.

Churches that ask for money secretly from specific people always have specific people prospering.
Churches that are big on giving like coza, you will always wonder where they are getting money in this harsh economy
There is a dynamic, the church just doesn't ask. The unwritten rule is when you have you give secretly in the offering box which is at the back of the church auditorium. I also watched my uncle as a kid buy a ford bus for our branch then for collection of Sunday school children and he dropped the key, particulars and a letter inside inside the offering box whist the vehicle parked inside the church premises. Lots of prospering folks there. That we don't give openly or pay tithe openly doesn't mean they don't give. Only that it's willingly without been asked or nudged. It's an old time religion, you might not understand even when you try.

which begs the questions...

1. what makes them his children?

2. is rccg a cult or is adeboye the final authority in rccg that no one can make any comment against him?

3. what "family matter"?
You can make comments against him whether good or bad, when he said he was going to die on Sunday I condemn that because I know Baba God can show you signs but hardly tell you the time, and even the Lord Jesus when the hour came, prayed the cup be taking away from him, so I don't think he will be eating pounded yam except he has a birthday. The reason I don't want to talk about it, I know he doesn't make this kind of demands except they are serious issues, like their electric turbines having problems, and I doubt it's for a private Jet.

Poverty mentality and religious intolerance is why many of you are abusing the man and some blaspheming God in the process.

From Health and Safety perspective there is nothing wrong in what Baba Adeboye said.

#3 million people gather regularly in a place and the water system can no longer cope with the demand because when it was built 20 years ago they did not plan for #3 million attendees. So if people find value in going to redemption camp they should donate to increase the capacity of the water system

He talked about the auditorium having similar issues. Choir members seating on the floor.....auditorium being used beyond capacity. There is need to expand it.

Nigerians generally want soft life but often forget that there is no free lunch anywhere in the world. If it is free for you know that somebody paid for it. You want quality service? It must be paid for.

Some of you loved what TB Joshua did at the synagogue where members built storey buildings without following sound structural engineering process. It was cheap there was no need to ask for donations in millions. End result? The building collapsed and hundreds of people lost their lives.

1. what makes them his children?

2. is rccg a cult or is adeboye the final authority in rccg that no one can make any comment against him?

3. what "family matter"?
Here’s a clearer breakdown in direct response to your questions about Pastor Enoch Adeboye and the RCCG:

---
1. "What makes them his children?"

Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s usage of the word “children” is spiritual rather than biological. As the General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, congregants and pastors often call him “Daddy GO,” symbolizing a fatherly, spiritual leadership. He is not referring to them as actual offspring, but as members of his spiritual “family” in Christ([Church Gist][1], [Wikipedia][2]).

---

2. Is RCCG a cult, or is Adeboye the final authority whom no one can criticize?*

Cult Label:Some critics describe RCCG as cult-like, citing its fast growth, strong hierarchical structure, and emphasis on absolute respect for the GO. For instance, a high-level analysis noted that, in principle, the church’s leadership is synodal, but in practice, nearly all power is concentrated in the GO (“Daddy GO”) and his wife (“Mother-in-Israel”), with limited accountability([Church Gist][1]). Critics also point out allegations of discouraging dissent and promoting unquestioning loyalty([temporary][3], [Church Times Nigeria][4]).

*What RCCG Says:Officially, the RCCG governance structure includes a Governing Council, Assistant General Overseers, and other advisory bodies—so it’s not a one-man rule in formal terms([Church Gist][1], [Wikipedia][2]). Adeboye himself states that he doesn’t respond to criticism personally because his defense comes from God; he focuses on prayer instead([Vanguard News][5], [temporary][3]).

Bottom line: While the church has a hierarchical, centralized leadership, internally, RCCG maintains that authority still rests in broader structures and divine guidance, not unchallenged personal control—though many interpret its structure as authoritarian.

---

3.What “family matter”?

Within RCCG, referring to church issues as “family matters” typically means they are handled internally—privately among leaders—rather than through public discourse. It implies that disputes, discipline, or sensitive issues are managed within the spiritual “family” framework, without external airing.

You just jump to comment on something you don't know. Before making the request, the GO mentioned what the money was for. He did not at any point ask anyone to pay to his account. The project account was displayed for people to pay into. Anyone that wants to be part of it and go ahead and contribute.

"clearer breakdown" from AI.

1. if your AI say that the people Adeboye referred to as "his children" are "members of his spiritual family in Christ", who owns this "spiritual family"? who is the head of this "spiritual family"?

is this "spiritual familiy in christ" exclusive to adeboye and his rccg congregants?

2. is rccg a cult or is adeboye the final authority in rccg that no one can make any comment against him?

simple yes or no

3. what "family matter"? what does the Bible say?

NB: instead of using AI, why could you not use the Bible to explain yourself?

Op, have you been to Redemption Camp lately?
If not, please go there next time there is a progamme. GO said the infrastructure is now overstretched and creating spillover hold up in traffic. The water system and sewage system can no longer accommodate the surging crowd.
Pastor Adoboye, hate him or like him has done extremely well. I do not think he is hungry. If your father, brothers or sisters, uncles and aunts are not among the billionaires donating, how is that your concern?
You are a farisi

In nigeria of nowadays who are the people that have billions to give- are they godly Jesus Christ followers

Where's the surging crowd you are talking about, how many people goes to camp again

The people living in camp are they not paying rent, so adeboye is talking to people who aren't staying in camp to come repair camp

Do you know what this public request for billions will bring to Christianity, those fake pastors will now boldly copy it, request for money will now be new norm

That was how he made a ridiculous statement decades ago, that anyone that doesn't pay tithe will not reach heaven, only for him to apologise about it this year and funily turn it upside down

Stop quoting the old testament as example for Christian living and church dortrines. Endevour to pick examples from the foundational church of Christ led by the apostles of Christ. That is your model for Christianity not the God-moses or God-isrealitr example.

The maintenance of a private jet is massively expensive so Big Daddy GO needs YOUR help for fuel, landing fees, airworthiness checks, and the usual jarra to be used on those shopping sprees in Dubai or Paris.
