All these Wike people need to stop being clever by half. Everything needs to be put in context... They need to stop carrying on with this lazy and misleading narrative that makes it seem like Wike did not climb on PEJ's back and carry her hand bag just to dethrone Amaechi. Wike rode on the back of PDP to get the better of Amaechi all those years. As at 2015 when APC was formed that party was a taboo in the South South and South East. It was seen as a Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba party. The Jonathan sentiment made Rivers and the entire SS made the region 95 percent PDP. There was nothing Amaechi could have done to defeat Wike, under the party APC. Owing to the hatred the SS had for Amaechi, Buhari and APC, Even a goat under PDP could have defeated Amaechi between 2015 and 2022. If Patience and Goodluck had not pushed Amaechi out of PDP and Amaechi remained in PDP, we all know there would be no Nyesom Wike today. They started by bringing Felix Obuah to illegally replace GU Ake so that Wike could take over the PDP structure. Contrary to popular belief, GEJ really did Amaechi dirty, and that's why he had to join the coalition to remove Jonathan. Thing is, most politicians believe that Nigerians are too forgetful and forgiving, or how else would any sane living Nigerian describe a situation where an Amaechi is talking with both sides of his drooling mouth. Someone who oversaw the spending of Billions of "borrowed" Dollars on the construction of rail-road to Niger republic, which is yet to add even thousands, let alone millions in Dollars to the nation's treasury during and after he left office as a super-minister. In Ekiti State where Lere Olayinka comes from, if you have friends who are within your age bracket or about 10 years older, they are termed your age group. The more Lere talks the more he exposes his sheer ignorance and lack of argumentative substance. Who in this Nigeria wasn't aware of how Wike allied with Patience Jonathan to muscle out Amaechi's influence? While Amaechi was governor, Wike was minister in a PDP government and used federal might, rigging and the animosity on APC by southerners to become governor. What was the result of the Presidential Elections? Amaechi led Buhari's campaign to two consecutive victories. Ask people in Rivers State about the so-called defeat Lere is talking about. Some people like to pretend in Nigeria. In one election, the state was termed "Rivers of blood." There is also a Sahara Reporters' tape on YouTube concerning an election where Fayose was praising someone and saying "kill everybody." Some people just choose to pretend. Nigeria deserves a president who is all in. At every point, you know where Amaechi stands. That was true in 2015 and true now. Among all the potential contenders, he is the only one fully committed to ADC. Others are busy showcasing their lack of integrity with pride and unable to state where they truly belong. |
