The reason she is in prison is not because what she did is more serious
She remains innocent until proven guilty
She is on Remand because she has not met bail conditions
She is charged with criminal damage and assault which are bailable
I must emphasise regardless of videos she is innocent also court has not seen videos at this point

Now about Wasiu there is equally an allegation of pouring liquid on the pilot ,a passenger and a security personnel and that that is why he was deplaned. That IN LAW is an assault allegation

However based on the video there is an allegation of obstructing an aircraft

This is the law in Nigeria
Section 459A of the Nigerian Criminal Code Act 1990.

It says, “Any person who, by any unlawful act, obstructs, causes an alteration to be made in the course of or in any way whatsoever hinders or impedes the movement of any aircraft, which is in motion on or in flight over any aerodrome, is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to imprisonment for two years.”


This is objective reality that does not need emotions

The comparison is not senseless
Objectively it is reasonable

Very likely Wasiu would have been more able to meet bail and not be remanded

The question is why was he not arrested and charged to court granted bail and let the trial continue
In the end he might even be found not guilty like this lady might too
