Airstrikes decimate ISWAP fighters, destroy ammo dump in Marte The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has neutralised scores of ISWAP terrorists and destroyed their ammunition dump in a precision airstrike conducted on Sunday in Arinna Waje general area of Marte Local Government Area, Borno State. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation followed credible intelligence and persistent surveillance which confirmed the massive convergence of terrorists in the area, five days after a bloody encounter with a rival Boko Haram faction. The sources noted that based on the intelligence, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft were scrambled to engage the identified locations in a series of well-coordinated bombardments. “The strikes, executed with surgical precision, resulted in the total annihilation of several terrorist enclaves and logistics nodes within the target area. “One of the airstrikes also triggered a secondary explosion, confirming a direct hit on a major terrorist ammunition storage site,”the sources added. According to the sources, key ISWAP commanders were among those neutralised in the operation. The sources added that the NAF, in synergy with surface forces and intelligence platforms, will sustain the momentum to deny the terrorists freedom of action and degrade their capabilities in the Lake Chad and Sambisa axis.

bidex111:NAF confirmed Zagazola reports NAF AIR STRIKES DECIMATE ISWAP LEADERSHIP CELL IN SOUTHERN TUMBUNS In a decisive blow to terrorist operations in the Lake Chad region, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), conducted precision air interdiction (AI) that neutralised several high-value Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) commanders and fighters. The mission, carried out on 27 July 2025, targeted ARINA WOJE, a notorious ISWAP enclave in the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State, known as a sanctuary for insurgent leaders. The strike followed series of credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sorties that confirmed the return of terrorist elements to the area after recent inter-factional clashes. ISR data revealed significant terrorist activity, including the movement of foot soldiers, reactivation of structures, and the concealment of possible command centres and logistics depots beneath dense foliage. Acting on credible intelligence, NAF air assets were dispatched to undertake focused strike mission. Aircrew on arrival, acquired and prosecuted pre-selected targets using precision-guided munitions, achieving devastating effects. Preliminary battle damage assessment reveals the destruction of several structures housing key ISWAP leaders, fighters, and logistics storage facilities, effectively disrupting the group’s operational planning and resupply efforts in the region. This operation reflects the NAF’s continued resolve to dislodge terrorist elements, deny them freedom of movement, and support ground forces in restoring peace and stability across Nigeria. It also reinforces the value of intelligence-driven air power missions in modern counter-terrorism operations. *Ehimen Ejodame* Air Commodore Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force. 28 July 2025

Troops foil another IED-laying attempt by terrorists along Marte–Dikwa road Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have foiled another an attempt by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists to plant improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along the Marte–Dikwa road in Borno State. Zagazola Makama learnt from sources that the operation was part of renewed and sustained offensives directed by the military high command to deny terrorists freedom of action in the North East theatre. The incident occurred at about 2:01 a.m. on Tuesday, when troops of Operation HADIN KAI positioned in an ambush along the strategic route, sighted a group of terrorists attempting to lay mines on a bridge. The troops immediately engaged the terrorists with superior firepower, forcing them to abandon their equipment and flee into the surrounding bush in disarray. Two IEDs were recovered at the scene, while there were no casualties recorded among the troops. Godspeed to the Men of the @NA Source; @Zagazola

bidex111:Good development. However, this engagement suggests a number of things. - No snipers in the ambush team - Non-availability of night vision sights If not the terrorists would have taken significant casualties. Nonetheless kudos to the Army. |

NAF HOLDS INTENSIVE RAPPELLERS RECURRENCY TRAINING FOR TROOPS IN KADUNA The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted Rappelers Recurrency Training at the Regiment Training Centre, Kaduna, as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency in line with the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar's, focus on “deliberate training and mission-oriented force development.” The exercise was designed to sharpen the skills of Regiment Special Operators in insertion and air assault operations, thereby boosting their capability to support surface forces in eliminating and denying terrorists and bandits the freedom of action. The intensive training programme covered rappelling activities, aircraft operations, range exercises, and tactical live shooting drills. Operatives also undertook range classification exercises to improve firing accuracy, culminating in a tactical assault simulation involving fighting in built-up areas and hostage rescue operations. Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal AA Shinkafi, expressed appreciation to the CAS for prioritising capacity-building initiatives such as the Rappellers Recurrency Training. He noted that the programme not only enhances the proficiency of NAF’s special operators but also reinforces the Service’s commitment to ensuring national security. AVM Shinkafi commended the Commandant of the Regiment Training Centre, Air Commodore CO Olayera, alongside his officers, airmen, and airwomen, for the seamless conduct of the training and assured them of the CAS’s continued support for regiment training activities at the Centre. #NAFTrainingExcellence #MissionOrientedForceDevelopment #SafeSkiesSecureNation
