And then back to 2000mw next week. Check how much electricity other African countries are generating and you would see this as crying shame

Which one is 180m people?

Nigeria is currently more than 250m people
We no even reach the 180M people?

How many people are in the major cities?
How many people are registered with INEC?
How many people have phone numbers? registered with Telcos (Without duplicities)
How many people have bank accounts?
How many people have NIN?

These are verifiable figures not the overbloated numbers we are parading !!!

Ordinary 5k megawatts power generation is what we're celebrating?

Meanwhile SA with just 60m people are producing far more than that!

We still have a long way to go in this country
The same way your family are celebrating a used car when other family are buying private jet.

That is why you appreciate the man that has advanced the increase within two years. If this maintained over eight years, we will have gone far.
In spite of the initial hardship, I still believe in this government touching every sector of the economy with practical reforms.

Why not go and connect to that of south africa to power your house. Report did not say that Nigerians have reached destination, but that we are improving; yet you are still sad about progress being made by Tinubu because you are trying to repackage one rotten content with past incompetence into a rebranding container to deceive Nigerians.

Someone that many Obidients now were abusing and insulting for underperformance in his time as governor in Anambra. Only bad reportage about Nigeria and Tinubu is what gladden your heart and other obidients. Time is here till 2031, if you are also hungry like Amechi and many other obidients; tell us we get you some of cup of beans and rice to hold your body till 2031😆

Appreciate the new success first, we were not here when PDP ruled for years . There are very many areas Nigeria are better than south Africa too, and they know Nigeria is their leader in many areas too. We gradually comming to reclaim our superiority in power generation and distribution too. Just wait for more before Tinubu leaves in 2031 by God's grace

Educate yourself. Power generation is not the foundation of our power issue. It is transmission. As it stands today, we can’t even transmit all we generating. So building more power plant is out of the picture.
What an embarrassing comment.

Generation is the primary issue, whilst transmission is the secondary issue. But Nigeria has failed woefully at both, so here you are, trying to Sergio Ramos.

There's no nation in the 21st century that can progress on a measly 5 GW of power.

My goodness! You mean in the year of our Lord 2025, these people are celebrating and popping champagne over generation of 5,801.84 megawatts (MW) of electricity for a country with a population of nearly 250 million people? There is God O!

Meanwhile, see how many megawatts American States with much smaller populations are generating.
Check the airports with their independent generation plants, first. You will be amazed.

Why o said you need to educate yourself.

If you generating more as it stands today, where are you transmitting it too. Do you have the infrastructure to transmit more than you currently have now?

By the way, which university did you graduate from?

so you're using votes to count, learn now! Nigeria is almost 250 million, more than half of Nigerians don't vote, so stop using vote to count.

All these ones you listed are never used to replace population census, only few people participate in Inec register or election and people below 18 are not captured either. It is not everybody that have access to phone especially in rural areas and very poor masses. Many teenagers and secondary school downward don't have NIN too because many of them don't have phones for various reasons. Some can only use their relation phone once in a time. Same thing happen to bank account, not everybody keep money in banks especially in rural areas. So, you can compare, substitute or relate all you listed to population census

The question is why are these electricity workers fighting the independence of states from the federal electric grid?

I believe every bright mind knows the answer but to ensure those dark minds are fully aware, let me elaborate a bit. They are afraid of irrelevance, afraid of anti-corruption, afraid of competition, afraid of competence, afraid of an open market against the monopoly they run, and they will not be giving orders of running electric grid in states IPP because of autonomy.

But as we all know, this will come to an end because electricity is so easy to produce against the lies told by Rockefeller and his fellas.

My Oga and esteemed member of D & G gang (doom and gloom) hydropower accounts for only 12 to 17% of power supply with up to 86% of power we use from fossil fuel i.e natural gas.

How does what you put up above make sense? Is it not better to give credit where/when due than speak to appear as an enemy of progress?

I shared same sentiments. One metric I use in supporting this metrics is that the total number of phone lines in this country as at last check was not more than 85 million even when many of us have more than 1 line.

Every single data that forces people to uniquely identify themselves always have low values.

No,it's not True that Nigeria has- improved in the Supply of Light 🚨🕯️,In March2025,this Year!
But then, what about the Current State?
As we Speak, the Whole Ikorodu City- has been reduced to Total Darkness, for 25 Days,,under Pretence that they are doing Repairs- as the IKEJA -DISCOS is In Receivership - for lack of Performance and Huge Debts!
-We told NIGERIANS before that - THESE DISCOS, GENCO,TCN-PRIVATISATIONS BY GEJ IN 2015 THEN WAS THE GREATEST CORRUPTION OF OUR TIMES,AS THEY SHARE THE the Power Sector ENTITY,hence POLITICIANS SHARED THE ENTITY CALLED NEPA AMONGST THEMSELVES,by Forcing the likes of AMERICAN POWER COMPANY( General Electric)- TO GO BACK TO AMERICA,YET THEY) LOCAL PEOPLE/ Investors- with No Technical Know-how to Manage it here.
We have been in same Spot -since the illegal and Corrupt Privatisations .
Just TRUTH AND FACTS!

If you consider we have less than thirty or so power plants when a nation like the US has over three thousand we may say generation is also an issue. There should be thousands of power plants in the country. There should be no city without one. As they are built, the transmission infrastructure will be added
