You can never get an accurate story of what is happening about Ukraine Russian war on Google or any European source. The number of dead bodies exchanged between them speaks volume about which side is truly loosing more soldiers in the war. Ukraine is now unwilling to receive their dead soldiers having received more than 4,000 bodies, and still having great numbers to receive. Who is really telling a lie. Germany, UK, France and the members of the willing will do a good service by helping Ukraine end the war now. Trump see what they are not seeing, the reason why he's calling for peace, but ego will not let them do. Please, let their be peace in the entire world. |

You see columbia(they form one of the largest foreign contingents in the Ukraine Armed forces), they have one of the highest foreign volunteers casuality in Ukraine. Trump's meeting with Putin. Below is a comment from someone in Ukraine. Putin wants nothing more than for this war to continue. At this moment, his troops are making progress in the Donetsk region, and Ukrainian forces are under heavy pressure. Why on earth would he want to allow them to take a break? WriterNg bless me with something little.. I no get shishi for hand and i am on transit from an interview . |

CaseSensitive:Thank you for your response. I appreciate. 1. According to you “The West - (America, Britain etc) has been pushing Ukraine towards this goal gradually over the years, maybe since the end of the 2nd world war”. The second world war ended in 1945. At that time, there Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It was one large country made up of many countries including Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, Belarus, Estonia and a few other countries. The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. How then was the west pushing Ukraine toward being a military launch pad against Russia after world war 2 when both Ukraine and Russia were part of the Soviet Union up until 1991? 2. can you tell me when the USA once promised Russia that NATO would not move an inch eastwards (towards Russia)? 3. why is Ukraine dinning with the West against a super power (Russia) as a neighbour dangerous? 4. Finland shares border with Russia. Finland decided to join NATO after Ukraine was attacked by Russia. If preventing Ukaine from joining NATO was Putins reason for attacking Ukraine, why did he not attack Finland to also prevent NATO expansion right to its border with Finland? 5. you said that “NATO hasn't tested any conventional weapon in Ukraine prior to the war” but earlier, you claimed that CaseSensitive:Are you contradicting yourself or are you trying to misinform others? 6. When did US ever promise not to encircle Russia? 7. Do you actually know the geography and the size of Russia before you came up with your claim of US “encircling” Russia? 8. How would ever been possible for US to “encircle”? 9. What was US going to “encircle” Russia with? |

lexy2014:Ok l'll address this again one by one. 1. Post–WW2 influence – Even though Ukraine was part of the USSR until 1991, the West’s anti-Soviet strategies which are propaganda, economic pressure, military buildup etc were already in motion, and after the collapse, those same policies shifted focus to former Soviet states, including Ukraine. Do you wonder why? 2. NATO promise – The US Secretary of State at the time - James Baker in discussions with Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 during German reunification talks, said NATO will not move one inch eastwards if the Soviets accepted a Unified Germany. I hope you know Germany was split into East and West at the time. Similar verbal assurances were actually made by German Chancellor at the time just to ensure that the Soviet accept a unified Germany. What happened to that assurance? 3. Danger of ‘dining with the West’ – Because aligning militarily with an adversary’s rival, especially when sharing a long border and history, invites retaliation especially given the deep rooted and interwoven history that Russia and Ukraine both shares. 4. Finland joined NATO after the Ukraine war began, not before, I said in my first reply that the West has been training Ukraine army, long before the invasion. Why should Russia open a second front against Finland while still engaged with Ukraine? That carries significant strategic risk. Also refer to number 3 of my response about the deep history Russia share with Ukraine, you can then maybe guess why Ukraine is strategic to the West's ambition. 5. No I'm not misinforming others or contradicting myself. There are expressions in English Language called "Figure of speech" The “Testing ground” I said here refers broadly to using Ukraine as a venue for proxy conflict, training, tactics, and assessing modern warfare systems in real combat, not just pre-war live tests of hardware. I mentioned that in my second paragraph of my earlier reply. We can use some metaphor. No? 6. Refer to number 2, you don't seem to keep track of the questions you're asking. 7&8. I indeed know the geography and size of Russia, encirclement here isn't literally surrounding Russia with bases on every side, but expanding NATO military presence in former Warsaw Pact and Soviet states, increasing pressure from multiple directions. I mean common we can use some discernment here and if you don't know about the Warsaw pact, read up on it. 9. Related to 7&8. Again, what encirclement means here are political (EU absorption of former Soviet Union members), military (NATO), and strategic positioning, not a perfect geographical ring, reducing Russia’s buffer zone. (Again, let's use our best judgement here). |

CaseSensitive:1. How did the west use these “anti-Soviet strategies which are propaganda, economic pressure, military buildup etc” to push Ukraine to be Anti-Russia between 1945 and 1991when both countries were in the soviet union? 2. Was there any written agreement between James Baker and Gorbachev? Do you have the transcript of that “verbal agreement”? did Gorbachev acknowledge that Baker made such a commitment? 3. Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, Belarus all border Russia and are all aligned with the west and NATO. Why has Russia not attacked them? Is Ukraine accountable to Russia that makes it obligated to Russia not to ally with Russia’s enemy? 4. Did you read my comment about when Finland joined NATO? How does it concern me if Russia choses to open 10 fronts? You claimed that the reason Russia invaded Ukraine was to stop the advancement of NATO towards its borders. Why did Russia not use the same reason to attack Finland in order to prevent NATO expansion right to its doorstep? 5. Ogbeni, you specifically said “weapon testing”. Has the meaning of the word “weapons” changed? CaseSensitive:And the same you said CaseSensitive:If this is not contradiction, what is it? 6. In reference to “number 2”, did James Baker say anything about “encircling”? CaseSensitive:Encircling means encircling. What other dictionary meaning does it have? How can you use a word and you say that is not what it means? 7. So I ask again How would ever been possible for US to “encircle”? 8. What was US going to “encircle” Russia with? |
