Your village will be a good start. Think about it. What you are looking for in Sokoto, actually is inside your Sokoto. Cost of living in the village is very low. Plus you will eat organic and fresh food. No city pollution. Plan your life well. Install solar etc.

A peaceful village is a great place to retire to but this guy is just starting his life, he's not yet married, now did you consider his children's schooling, the villages usually have public schools and we know those ones are nothing to write home about.

Not to burst your bubble, Nigeria is by far one of the cheapest countries to live in Africa. With 5M, you can invest your money into something worthwhile. The japa mentality that is prevalent among youths today is partly due to peer pressure or herd mentality. By the way, I am not excusing bad government policies and poor infrastructure in Nigeria.

After two or 3 years experience working for a foreign company remotely, you can apply for skilled work visa to a country that makes sense. Option 2: apply for a scholarship to a Latin American country that makes sense (Brazil, Chile, Mexico) and get your passport within 5 years. You don't rush to JAPA to any country. You plan.
