Madridguy, How does the action of KWAM 1 constitute an Hijack or attempted hijack of a plane when he was not onboard the aircraft when the incident occurred.

While KWAM 1 action is condemnable and deserves retribution by law, does not in any stretch of imagination constitute an hijack!

Hijacking, as defined in aviation law, requires the unlawful seizure or exercise of control over an aircraft while it is in flight.

KWAM 1 was involved in an incident at the airport where he allegedly obstructed the aircraft's movement and had a heated exchange with airport officials.

You are right. But there are some questions begging for answers:

1. Does unruly act now qualifies a celebrity or person of influence to becoming an ambassador?
2. Evan was imprisoned accordingly, the full weight of the law was was served on him upon finding him guilty in a court of law, then AFTER he was made to cooperate with law enforcement in curbing kidnappers. Was there any public court hearing that brought him before Airlines and legal authorities, that got televised?

All the public saw was just Kwam1 sitting in his comfort in front of a camera apologising
The world should have witnessed him being drilled thoroughly and made to see the folly of his actions before giving any apology.

His actions on the plane and on the tarmac being publicised on social media has gone far into the minds of millions of people, what they saw was what you do when you are big by some legacy and connected to power. Giving him a duty ambassador does nothing in the minds of the masses to achieve what the ministry of aviation wish to achieve. What the masses understand is that when you are big you get soft landing. That's why systems don't work in Nigeria, someone will drive on the road against traffic, and block others and yet come out and utter this expression "Do you know who I am!" We hear this expression everywhere. Until this perspective is corrected and due process is applied accordingly irrespective of who you are.

Nigeria is not ready for anything better, only people it will get better for are the few big men that get away with impunity, and the funny thing is that the rest of the population will keep celebrating and serving these men even while under their oppression.
