A case should be judged on its merit and not to pursue some political agenda.

He's lived his life in the UK without getting in trouble prior to the incidence.

Was intoxicated when it happened AND have been a model Individual in the 3 years since it happened.

I think the issue here was that the judge too was a young man once and probably made mistakes as well. In the UK, getting drunk every weekend is considered a rite of passage, for both young males and females. Aside drinking, you know what youths are bound to do.
