What good is tarred road when u can't drive it with peace of mind, and the Naira in your pocket has gone from 1N=$1.25 to 1600N=$1, and every Nigerian wants japa?!!
As at this time butter and bread was luxury o. It's only the rich that cld eat it. They is where the phrase "ajeboter" come up for rich kids.

Nigerians were poorer in the 80s compared to now.

You people should stop deceiving yourselves there was no time that Nigeria was good, things are only getting worse. 1981 I was in secondary school life was very difficult. No light no water no good roads the same issues we are still facing till today. Government used to give out what is called essential commodities for people to survive.
You people think that everything is all about Dollars versus Naira, go and check the minimum wage at the time and check how many people can afford to buy a car or build a house.

Old cars are not ugly! In years to come today's car will also become ugly in your eyes. That is the result of technological developments and designs.

Big boys convoy on Nnewi -Nnobi road in 1981. Big ballers in town...😁😁
Clueless ballers in the jungle with a farm road since they have no idea how to pay taxes and enjoy tarred roads that are regularly maintained.

What is funny about this depressing picture of deprived people huh
Re: Big Boys Convoy In 1981 by OluwatobiJoshua: 2:32pm On Aug 14, 2025
Some major roads are still exactly like this in the east. What a pity.

Guy slow your row, everyone should do what works for him.
Japa worked for some then, and didn't for some. The same with now.
Stop with the generalization already
