You as a security personnel you will know better because you get more info on security matters than many of us, but my recommendation will be Akwa Ibom state of cross River state at least those are one of the safest states in Nigeria right now but anyone is free to add any other state he or she feels it's safe. |

Hi Dr. TONYE001, please what are your thoughts on this? Will this be a beneficial venture if Op decides to go this route? |

Dynduhh:According to ranking/respect..the Nigerian Army comes first while Airforce is last... according to pay...the direct opposite is the case as corruption and hostile bosses happen to pin down opportunities in the Army, even career growth/development is stunted in the Army compared to the others. |

folake4u:Hi doc, I think it all depends on what OP wants. I don't know so much about the career pathways of doctors in the military; but from general knowledge, I hear they start from a fairly high rank (? Lieutenant) and progress well. I think he should do proper research, speak with colleagues on the path and get good counsel before going in. My best wishes are for him. |

Dogalmighty17:What are you saying? Who told you they have MBBS as a course in NDA? Who told you Army doctors are combatants? |
| Re: Nigerian Military Doctors by KingAzubuike(f): 8:04am On Oct 30, 2025 |
Dynduhh:Wait for DSSC form and apply. If you're a consultant, you'll be commusioned with the rank of a major. Your service year is limited tho I think 15 years after which you have to convert to direct regular commisoning if you wish to continue your career. |
