I agree with him about Rice and this isn’t about English tax but the fact that Rice has that composure, confidence, communication skills, influence and the experience of being a captain. Another would be Gabu.

I agree with you, Adams is just being mischievous and petty coming days out before league opener voicing an opinion that could split the locker room and throwing your team captain under the bus as been unworthy is plain silliness...

You are right, a good argument can be made against the timing of his position and how it can disrupt the locker room but again, I don't think he is wrong.

Rice providing leadership and support while we have a captain buttresses the need to question things as there are obvious deficits. Too many times last season we struggled to pick up on the pitch after going down or needing a point. I feel like this team needs that strong leadership on the pitch that can rally the team.

He also made a point many are overlooking, the captain band may be too much burden for Odegaard. If he gives it up, it frees him to play without the burden of leading the team.

At the end, it is Arteta's call, he sees things we don't see and if he choses to keep Odegaard, its fine, we move.

Earlier when I saw the new epl rule concerning talking to referees, I knew we were in trouble already. Odegaard no get ginger, but i won't say the weight of the captain armband is affecting his output. He has been captain all through and was effective till last season. Adams said what everyone can agree with, but I think he also knows that the timing is wrong. In the new rule, a team can select another player to do the talking if the captain is a goal keeper. So I don't know if clubs can still select another person for the role if their main captain is also an outfield player.

Ornstein said Ethan extension lessen the need for Eze except there's a massive clear-out first ( Nelson, Viera, Trossard and Zinny) they won't go for him on a podcasts yesterday...
