This sounds a bit educated, and appreciated.

I decided to do some search online and it said it would cost a few billions to tens of billions to build a 12 km over the sea bridge.

The problem with the bridge is down to the illegal sand mining and other illegal activities that are causing erosion and so on.

We live in a low trust society so nobody believes whatever government says.

What is obvious was that global best practices were not engaged in maintaining and protecting the bridge, hence the present avoidable problem.
