Nigeria is making progress
Last year we had only Uyo as approved stadium
This is is shameful we had almost 16 before APC and we even hosted FIFA U-17 WC.
The 15 stadium that used to be our national pride has become an eyesore under the APC led government
APC has not add any meaningful infrastructure except for the dead functioning train service and needless costal road. Nigeria should at least bost of 8-10 standard stadium

Nigerians always refuse to accept the reality that Nigeria is a poor underdeveloped country.

They just refuse to accept the reality.

Nigerians need to be truthful to themselves

This is good! Nigeria with none or one approved before but with raw talents still always claim almost all the trophies in the continent of africa. Imagine what happens if we now focus more on upgrading facilities and more youths now focus on sports. Other nations in africa like south africa are spending huge on sports especially football while Nigeria keeps claiming the glory with raw talents

Larger chunk of that prize money given to super falcons could have been used to renovate other stadiums like the one in ibadan. Just imagine, only two stadia met caf specifics

Our stadias are only good for church crusades and political campaign gathering nothing more

These are the stuffs that need attention but no they won't do it

How do you expect local players to be able to use stadias they are not familiar with when they go to play competitions?

Yet we want the best from them at all times

Shhhhh!

Although we can do better, taking a critical look at the list of approved stadiums by CAF, Nigeria isn't the only country with just two stadiums.

Even countries like Ghana has just one stadium but one wouldn't find Ghanaians running their country down as a result.

Endless wailings and lamentations could affect one's mental health!

Wake up from doldrums!

This one is more on the Club than on the FG. Clubs are supposed to improve their facilities to approve standards through frugal financial management and foresight planning. If a club can't fund the improvement of their facilities by themselves, they can seek external help or partnership from private companies, the state government or federal government because good stadium is a good investment that can generate millions of revenue.

Too bad that we lack financial and economic foresight in this country

There's no single stadium in Nigeria that should be approved by even WAFU not to talk of CAF nor FIFA, a disgrace of a big for nothing country that cannot boast of one single stadium with electronic side board.

Even Cameroon, Senegal, Rwanda and other African countries boast of such stadiums 🏟 but not a single stadium in Nigeria haba, the embarrassment is too much.

No sports journalists, pundits or analysts on both prints and other media bothers to pressure those in charge to install them.

Na so so plywood and banners full everywhere as if we are still in the 80s
