The EGS has been changed and now it moves but the gear has been misbehaving, jerking, delaying, sometimes refusing to go to Reverse.

Was the VGS taken through any sort of programming. What's the scan report from the TCM after the VGS replacement

Apart from the initial reset. No, he just installed it, refilled the oil and that was all.

Finally lay my hands on my first benz (Benzc200). It has been a smooth ride ever since, but my major constraints now is the AC, it's working perfect before now but the coldness has dropped, bought a new gas, and after 30 days d freezing will drop again. Was told the compressor silt has issue and that I will need to change the compressor. Pls I will need your advice on the best AC compressor I will need to buy for my c200.

Congrats, ur AC probably is leaking somewhere, ur compressor is good , just try change the shaft seal first nd if it persists, make sure the hose isn’t leaking . If still persists then it’ll be the evaporator in the dash

There's alot of fuel in the tank as its even in half tank, the fuel pump is okay, filter is okay and even a new one, fuel guage is okay, fuelling system is very much okay but the tank seems to be retaining the fuel and not dispensing to the filter. If I top up a little it may start and move just a small distance and go off again still retaining fuel inside the tank. Engineers pls come to my aid, this issue is draining me.

Na 2 half ur fuel tank be so fuel dey run stay for the 2nd part (full tank to half) instead of staying in first part (reserve to just b4 half tank)

Youll need to change shifter, and. Sometimes it will enter limp/emergency mode when driving

Budget range of 50-70k. I got mine January in a scrap yard 4 55k sha, some dey repair but idk abt it

Must you drive a Benz. If so leave that one. It is not a Mercedes ...if you insist buy a Renault instead. If you're planning to buy the 2026... don't. Buy a Geely instead.

This mad man has resurfaced

Good morning house, so I replaced the left headlamp of my car ML350 (previously upgraded to GLE headlamp) due to waterlog issue and after replacement, I notice check engine ON the dashboard
So I scan the code and it gave me the below result
Please what is the solution, the repairer is telling its the speedometer that has issue but I don’t want them to tamper with the car anymore.

If you have a CEL on, it shouldn't bring a central gateway malfunction code. You ought to get a P code not a U code.

So I noticed the cruise control and Driver assistance also stopped working so I I try asking Chat GPT and it says I should remove the battery plug and put it back in about 5-10 mins which I did then the cruise control came back and after like 24hrs the check engine disappeared by itself.

Happened to me

Replace your gear selector

Thats d culprit. 50k

Or get it repaired for 15k but it will still reoccur after a year

In 24hrs the guy had fixed it and it didn’t cost much, just 8k.

It didn’t cost up to 15k you mentioned to repair it. I doubt it to reoccur again cos the main issue in it had been removed which is the gear lever.

If I were you I'll begin with cheapest checks like loose or faulty fuel tank cover, damaged EVAP hose or purge valve. The fuel pump seal can also be the culprit but I wouldn't make it my first suspect. Abi you dey smell fuel in or around the car?

The fuel pump would not result to a leak detected except there is a leak from the sealing o-ring. If its been scanned and you have a p0456 or p0455. Evap emission system (large leak detected) or evap emission system (small leak detected). This goes to show you have a leak along the evap system. A smoke machine would reveal where such leak is

Other suspected areas are

1) evap line
2) fuel pump seal as previously mentioned
3).charcoal canister
4) fuel tank cover
5) leak detection pump

Also,sometimes I get 'fuel gap loose' on the dashboard while driving and when I try to close open and close the fuel tank, it disappears.
