I'm a Dentist and I can tell you that most of the current Dental graduates ain't sitting around in Naija to earn pennies.

Failing exams or failing in anything doesn't make u a failure or mean u will not make it big in life or be successful.

Students need to take the pressure of failure of themselves. Failure is not always or necessarily negative.

My boss in a logistics firm is a qualified and certified doctor that never practiced for a day.

Why kill yourself over a certificate you may never use..

Im sure the presure was for him to be a medical dictor and when yhat did not work, they settledhim for dentistry in the name of he will still bear "Dr"...

Depression is a silent killer. The most funniest thing is that individuals don't open up and tend to smile like everything is okay. Even when they are with family & friends who ought to be there support system.
In this life pray for a sound mind, I actually believe the worst ailment on earth is Mental health challenge

You can imagine that. I almost kpaied myself because everyone thought I didn't even go to sch at all that I was only deceiving them. My siblings deserted me, nobody believed me. I couldn't open up to anyone cos I didn't know how to make Dem understand. I had lots of missing scripts that were discovered missing in my final year. The story is too long jare. I change my circle and I got admission into another school and start afresh as ss1 student
I became one of the overall best ten student then...did jamb and post jamb once in enter one of the prestigious universities in Nigeria(better by far)
Now am a civil servant , computer engineer, entrepreneurs and others...
All this is just from 2012 till now...

Thanks to my friend and mum that motivate and stand with me then

If your brain can’t carry dentistry, why not leave for a less difficult course.

The person that called him with the fake news that led to his death should be arrested and prosecuted ASAP.

These Scientists/Engineers are very smartest Dummies they didn't invent a machine which can measure the pressure on the brain.

It's the university's fault he should've been counselled and shifted to another department

Nigerian lecturers do the barest minimum, but they are always eager to sleep with their young female students and harass government about salary increment

I can relate. OAU drained me physically, mentally and emotionally.I carried a particular course over 3 times..never had the boldness to tell my parents.

Suicidal thoughts always coming to my mind..I had to face it prayerfully with determination and hard work .His mercies found and saw me through..how I graduated without an extra still baffles me.I never went back to further my studies after that experience ..even the certificate is just warming the house.. I no use am work.

I'm very free with my children and I made them realise that education is necessary but it's not a do or die affair. If one no follow another one go gree.I don't want them to be blackmailed emotionally as I was 'cos of education. .it 's not everyone that have the strength to handle stress or depression.


May God rest his soul and give his parents and family the strength and understanding to bear the loss.
