madridguy:Why are we not all feeling this favour in Isalẹ Èkó beyond miserable daily bread palliative instead of better jobs for living wages? Any idea why things are worse for us now than when PDP deregulation and privatisation capitalists were in office? They not only made things cheaper, they also created jobs for greater productivity and improved welfare of 200 million Nigerians. Why do you think that ebilokan replaced them with his expired northerner Buhari and his APC shege banza agenda? Glimpsetv: |

kettykin: cry cry baby….so it’s was your palm oil money that was used to construct 2nd Niger bridge and other infrastructure in your sad yeast region? Ondo state is a state in SW and the 3rd highest oil producing state with more oil output than all the state in your region, yet you empty noise makers make the loudest noise ![]() Even Lagos generate the highest non oil revenue and contributes more than any other state yet you cry when they ask for what they duly deserve continue crying, we already acknowledge your pain. And yes Lagos was built by Yorubas…so tell us what you want to do about it ![]() |

lexy2014:It's obvious you are dull cos if you are not you will see i answered both questions, when you guys are put in a corner you start asking rhetorical questions, I mentioned other national assets getting attention , oya you tell us what other asset should get attention since you don't want 3rd mainland to get it. |

Pa Yakassai or whatever doesn't care if the bridge and other decaying federal govt infrastructures in Lagos collapse, nothing concerns the old man. After oil,Lagos has to do a lot about the economy especially macroeconomic issues more than any other place in Nigeria and it has double or triple the population of any state in Nigeria. If you ignore Lagos the way some govts have done,it will surely affect our economy. Under Buhari,we all know how much billions of dollars that went into drilling of oil in that semi arid region with nothing to show for it. You get a lot of financial help from Lagos but still hate it. |

YesDaddyTill203:My question is, if they leave Lagos for SW can they add any economic value or maintain it for 1year? People who contributes little or nothing to the development of Lagos state especially in trade & investment, if not populating the state with uncontrolled out of wedlock childbirths here and there. To clear your doubt and make it clearly understandable to you, instead SE will leave Lagos, that your primitive Ijebode will soon belong to SE, and u will start paying rents to them. It's just a matter of time, just keep ranting, I trust SE, action people no be chochocho. ![]() |

ProudlyLagos:Perhaps the point still eludes you because your perspective has been shaped by a flawed understanding of priorities. My argument is simple: there is no justification for pouring excessive federal funds into Lagos when it is no longer Nigeria’s capital. If Lagos desires new bridges or airports, it must first manage its own spending responsibly. The Second Niger Bridge, by contrast is a strategic link connecting two geopolitical zones, two major states, and two key cities, with national economic implications. Lagos holds no monopoly on importance; no single state is above the collective, and federal resources should not be disproportionately funneled into one location at the expense of others. Thia idea of taking all the federal government money to fund Lagos and Italy projects must be resisted. Even the Lagos tax comes from the mostly the tax of oil transactions and businesses headquarters in Lagos. Lagos as one of the 36 states is getting too much leverage and undue favoritism |

May I remind you that we are still on Muslim-Muslim presidency but it is quite amazing and amusing that there are many wailers that are now wailing than the purported wailing wailers. It seems the ruling class in the north can hardly endure sabbathical leave of power |

Both regions contribute to Nigeria. federal projects should follow national benefit, not regional sentiment. Lagos and SE each have strengths, but competition over who “deserves more” won’t solve bigger economic issues. |

| Re: Tinubu Favouring Lagos Over The Rest Of The Country - Yakasai by aribisala0(m): 12:01pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
majkey:Nigeria did not have oil revenues during the war. At all NOT To some extent. Not at all. Nigeria did not control the oil areas and production was minimal before the war Before the war production had only just started Also oil was cheap at under 2 dollars It was the 1973 Yom Kippur war that made oil a factor in our economy |
| Re: Tinubu Favouring Lagos Over The Rest Of The Country - Yakasai by aribisala0(m): 12:06pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
majkey:Federal projects should follow returns because those returns are what funds the country VAT from Lagos last year was 2.7 trillion If that bridge was blown up tomorrow what would happen to that VAT How much does the SE bring to the table for sharing VAT from Lagos in less than 2 years will pay for a new bridge |
| Re: Tinubu Favouring Lagos Over The Rest Of The Country - Yakasai by kettykin: 12:09pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
ProudlyLagos:You don't need to throw jabs or insults to make a point , this is a seriousflaw and sign of weakness. The truth is that Lagos is just 1 out of 36 states, giving Lagos an unnecessary leverage and undue attention is not good for a federal republic like Nigeria. Lagos will get this attention for a while but if another states gets a fraction of what Lagos gets then Lagos will struggle or find it very difficult to cope. Even the Niger delta that brings in the petrol dollars are not getting this type of attention |
