A couple of years ago, an American missionary working as a volunteer with his wife in Niger, West Africa, was kidnapped, and taken across the border into northern Nigeria. This brilliantly reenacted video clip chronicles the preparation and execution of a highly choreographed hostage rescue mission that kicked off when special forces operatives breathing from oxygen tanks jumped out of an aircraft cruising 25 thousand feet up in the night sky, and silently steered their parachutes to within striking range of the encampment where the American citizen was being held by armed terrorists.

With American military assistance, Nigeria's terrorist problem would be consigned to the history books in a matter of months as drones operating with AI target acquisition capability would be launched to neutralize kidnap/herder/bandit gangs with surgical precision from the air, until there are no further targets left to annihilate.

Nigeria 's terrorism problem is powered by the same western intelligence agencies! Especially French intelligence!

For each of this there are others even here in Nigeria that they failed but will not inform you.

They failed in such mission just few weeks ago in DRC and had to scurry out of DRC after they were caught.

Ordinary rag-tag Talibans defeated US after long years of war, what then makes them think they have bragging rights? Media abi. Smh

Niger is not Nigeria
When you get billions of dollars you need to spin all manner of stories to justify your pay day

My take
Why should I believe this yarn?

Some people are very credulous. They believe anything without asking questions especially when it involves Americans

I am not so credulous
Sounds like a Hollywood story
Notice how there is no mention of any input from the government of Niger or Nigeria

It is funny how colonisation has affected the capacity to reason
Most Nigerians reading this thread don't actually understand this thing you just said. This is exactly the truth and that's how the US govt deceives the people with videos like this. Reminds of the video that "showed" the "killing" of Osama 😁

For a more detailed explanation of what happened that night, I am now adding two links where there are writeups that cover the incident at length.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2020/10/31/us-forces-rescue-american-hostage-in-nigeria/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Nigeria_hostage_rescue

The capability that the USA military has in terms of drone surveillance and drone attacks on ground targets by day or by night, could, if requested, make Nigeria a much safer place to live and conduct business, than is the case today.

These are the things that destroyed Nigeria and they are also the things that will continue to work against Nigeria ever becoming a great country of our dreams, sadly cry
Honestly bro, 👍

Add fake products

Drugs and emotional blackmailing to the list.

The terrorism in Nigeria is fuelled and sponsored by Nigerians themselves. So the Americans can't do anything to help.

How I wished we had Biafra, we will sacrifice everything possible to replicate America and all the great things they do. The focus would have been on acquiring indigenous technology, zero tolerance to leadership corruption and marginalization of any part of Biafra in order to make all Biafrans feel loved and cherished to bring out the best in them. When someone knows that his or her country truly care for him and ready to do anything for him to live a fulfilled life, he or she will be ready to sacrifice his life and all to make the country proud at all times. You don't expect patriotism from someone you despise and oppress at every given opportunity.

Biafra would have been the pride of the black race cry

Re: US Special Forces Hostage Rescue In Nigeria. by emmanuel596(m): 12:31pm On Aug 15, 2025
This happened under the Dullard called Buhari and no Nigeria news platforms talked about it... The US didn't even take permission to enter the country because they knew their mission would have been jeopardized by terrorist sympathizers....

This goes to show that our politicians deliberately don't want to end terrorism if not they would have employed the services of the USA, Russia or Israeli government to help them out.

America and Europe cannot allow a world power from Africa. That's why there'll never be an independent Igbo nation. They'll always suppress it. The civil war was an eye opener and they'll never risk Igbos showing off at that level again.

You remember therefore it happened ?.?

All this suff you are claiming is hear say
You are not a witness
Either you read it or you were told
That does not mean it happened the way it was narrated
However you are not the only one that remembers

The difference is I remember what we were told at the time
I will not say it is true or false
I do not know I was not there and neither were you

You say our government only knew till after

HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS.? What is the source of this claim?
What we were told is that the government of Niger and Niger cooperated with them
The only thing that I believe is that the man was extracted
All this reconstruction trying to spin a Hollywood story of NASA and night vision technology is for gullible people
Where are you coming from?
This event was all over the news at that time.

so if the man was extracted how did they overpower the terrorist? They went there and shook their hands. U may or may not believe it but if u want to mess around pray never to be on the wrong side of these western militaries.

Where’s Osama now? And what about the video of Saddam Hussein being captured? People often criticize the U.S. military, but the proof of its strength is everywhere. That’s a big reason why the U.S. has so much control in the world.

Ordinary Rag tag Talibans?? The U.S. maintained control over Taliban-held territories in Afghanistan for years before eventually withdrawing, leaving the country in the hands of trained Afghan forces, many of whom ultimately abandoned their posts, allowing the Taliban to reclaim control.. Groups like the Taliban may never fully disappear but they can be contained.
