U.S. forces conducted a hostage rescue operation during the early hours of 31 October in Northern Nigeria to recover an American citizen held hostage by a group of armed men. This American citizen is safe and is now in the care of the U.S. Department of State. No U.S military personnel were injured during the operation," Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement.

The American citizen was kidnapped in Niger Republic and transported to Nigeria.

I predict that the American military base in Garoua , Cameroon, conducted the rescue mission.

Also, if the American captive was brought to Nigeria by just 6 men with Ak47s, it shows the porous conditions of our borders and irrational immigration policies. Land borders that promote exports and imports of useful commodities are heavily secured while those that promote influx of terrorists receive minimum attention.

The report of the American media company further corroborates the account of the Nigerian Army that most of the insurgents in the Northern region of this country are not Nigerians. It is why states like Borno and Adamawa that NIGERIA's boundaries are located in the North East are battling Islamic terrorism while you wouldn't even see other North Eastern States like Bauchi and Gombe in the news for wrong reasons nor would you even hear a gunshot there.

Secure the Northern borders and you might have defeated terrorism by 75%

Is this not a violation of Nigeria's territorial integrity? Perhaps the president may be unaware as usual or even CDS/COAS sleeping.Meanwhile this can only be done by a country that values the life of any of its citizen & not a nation like ours wherein the government have an avid love for terrorists/bandits.

A country that values lives. Only 1 citizen held hostage in another country and they have to send millitary to rescue. Just 1 citizen. Hundreds arr dying daily in Nigeria nobody cares. Govenrment doesn't care as far its not their family. May God help us.

That there is a nation that values the life of her citizenry.

You can imagine the amount of resources put in planning and executing this rescue OP.

Our generals will be waiting for a rebuttal of the execution videos of her own personnel captured same terrorists.
