mine3112:Without Eze we should be good, arteta don't have excuse because he saw Eze before agreeing to sign madueke. I still feel once we clear out some deadwoods, the club will get 2 more players Omari Hutchinson is valued around 45m, same player we threw away for free |

With the coming of max dowman, Ethan is no more regarded as a winger That's why he's been playing his natural position all through preseason. If we bring in Eze, that could reduce his progress unless he's coming to play as LW |

iamoyindamola:i read that it is because of Nwaneri that we didn't go all out for Eze in the first place. Instead of Eze they would prefer an all out winger. That interchanging as much as Eze's quality would be an added advantage for us, I think it makes sense to allow Nwaneri get more chance. And from the bilbao game we can see that Madueke isn't as bad as the media want us to believe. |

Arsenal fans should be ready for heavy criticism and media eyes this season because the talk about us will be endless. Every divk and tom will want to be in our conversation. Criticism and talks about us will be too much this season, whether we loose or win or draw, many eyes will be on us. This season is not for the faint hearted. |

germaphobe:People problems with Madueke signing isn't because of his qualities or lack of it, it's the opportunity cost of making that move when supposed better players in Eze, Rodrygo were available that irked angry fans knowing funds are tight... |

MSGAMBLE9:Maduake is younger and cheaper than the two, he wouldn't feel too bad starting from the bench compare to the two. Remember that he was primarily bought as Saka's deputy that can also play on the left wing. We have cried for Saka's deputy for years. We are only happy that Max Dowman is also proving capable in Saka's position. This only reduce the pressure of getting Eze or another LW cover in the event of Trossard leaving as Maduake can cover the LW while Dowman covers Saka's RW. While a big part of me still desires Eze as great addition, but as it is, without Eze or Rodrygo, we are covered everywhere. Arteta has no excuse still. IMO, the sentiments about Madueke is not about his qualities or lack of it, but more about the fact that he was coming from Chelsea that have sold us too many of their players, with some of them turned out as bad market, and Madueke was also seen as a Chelsea's reject even though Maresca claimed otherwise that Madueke left cause he wanted to and he Maresca couldn't stop him. |

MSGAMBLE9:People are generally foolish. How can we be signing Eze when what we need is a backup for Saka at RW? Now Madueke also has the additional benefit of also playing LW, and 'people' wants us to sign Eze when we have Rice, Merino, Odegaard and Nwaneri playing that position. Even players like Vieira, Nelson and Lokonga still dey |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 9:01pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
MSGAMBLE9:Rodrigo isn't just too expensive, but his wage will be high too. Funds are tight but it's only 14m that we spent on him this summer, the rest will be settled down till 2026, so how's that wasting funds like some fans suggest. The problem is that we signed him from Chelsea and most players we got from Chelsea didn't turn up as expected. Nothing else. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by MSGAMBLE9: 9:52pm On Aug 15, 2025 |
Spy360:People are not foolish they are tired of status qou of chief bridemaids, you say we need Saka deputy yes we do and we saw Ethan there last season where he shines buh getting a LW is paramount all opposition had to do is load the RW and neutered Arsenal creativity ( like PSG, Villa games etc.) they know the LW is pretty useless why bother... Madueke is a good player buh doesn't move the needle in term of qualities in team... Nobody can confidently say he will bench or start ahead of Nelli or Trossard, he add depth which is good buh doesn't revolutionalize the attack in same way Eze or Rodrygo might.... |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by MSGAMBLE9: 10:14pm On Aug 15, 2025*. Modified: 1:43am On Aug 16, 2025 |
germaphobe:Maybe Rodrygo is expensive, buh is Eze expensive? £10m plus Madueke fees would have gotten him and probably on a lower wages than Madueke, Eze can play across the frontline too and a much more better productive player than Madueke... I would just pray Madueke comes good.... |

Spy360:Arsenal suppose to prioritize a world class LW over a saka backup We need a complete 11 before strengthen the bench or else our attack might be right sided again |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 8:25am On Aug 16, 2025 |
kodded:Don't mind these people making excuses, over the year we know saka replacement was key did arteta get it? No We have 2 break out players from the academy that can play the position well that's when he's getting one from Chelsea All I know is no more excuse, he deliver or f off |

If we're not getting Eze, I would rather Vieira stays back. There's still something he can offer. BTW people wey wan win league dey count on Nwaneri and Max to back up Saka... I laugh |

Delulu is when you bank on madueke to win you league I smile, the madueke that was spamming crosses all through the game🤣🤣 |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:38am On Aug 16, 2025 |
MSGAMBLE9:You need to understand that Eze's primary position in 8 and 10, so is odegaard and Nwaneri who was promised more minutes in his natural position, and we still have Kai who can also play as 8. Dowman is still in his break out season and knowing Arteta he won't rush him, but surely he will get playing time. We need a right wing backup, regardless of Dowman and Madueke offers that. Even if either of Martinelli or Trossard leaves, he can also play there. The signing is as important as getting Eze. They checked what they considered as priority and went for it first. |

germaphobe:I hate the fact that we always go to Chelsea to shop when we can get better players elsewhere Guess what the amount we paid for madueke is what Chelsea paid for gittens so what are we saying |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 1:17pm On Aug 16, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:i know your issue is because we signed him from Chelsea. Talking about Gittens, he had 12 goals and 4 assist in 49 matches while Madueke had 11 goals and 5 assist in 46 matches. I understand buying willian, jorginho and sterling (loan) from Chelsea and they didn't turn up. But Madueke was Chelsea's best winger last season. I'm not letting media hype get to me, I watched Madueke last season and he's a good signing. |

germaphobe:How is the bolded difficult to understand bro? This is a simple detail a little kid who watch Arsenal matches will understand. Dowman is still developing and Nwaneri is not a winger... At least from all indication. |

iamoyindamola:Sorry but isn't his primary responsibility is to send crosses to the centre forward? He is still adjusting to the team and will improve with as time goes on |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 2:22pm On Aug 16, 2025 |
dominique:Nah he's primary responsibility is to attack, drive at defenders and provide opportunities for other Why did we release Tierney if we want to be spamming crosses because that's what we complain about Tierney apart from his injuries |

Meanwhile I hope this global ambassador role Arteta just got at under armour won't affect his coaching activities. The description of the role is something similar to what Jurgen Klopp is doing at red bull and he left coaching to focus on it. |
