Seems like the men at the glasshouse are afraid of Peter Obi's coalition with the North. They want to seduce him back to Labour Party.

I'm trying to understand how INEC arrived at the decision not to recognize Abure after the most confusing Supreme Court judgement that didn't settle the dispute but threw it back to the party claiming courts don't have jurisdiction on internal party affairs.

If this is really true, then it's a welcome development.
Correct 💯. Your head dey there.
They are using judiciary to distablise opposite parties. We the sensible Nigerians know there gimmick

Why are LP chairmen always seat tide, n trying how to hold on to what's not theirs... Abuse is just the waste of them all. why! because this is the first time a Sellable candidate is coming to a party for him to harvest his benefits. What a fool he is.

As usual, the press is trying to misrepresent the court judgement. The high court struck out the matter in-line with the Judgement of the Supreme Court that clearly states that courts lack the jurisdiction to entertain issues relating to the internal affairs of Political Parties and nothing else.

Even though INEC filed an affidavit claiming Abure’s tenure has expired, the commission also clearly stated that the party has no recognized national chairman and Secretary that the commission can relate with. By implication, INEC has not recognized both Abure and Nenadi Usman.
What was the reason why Abure initially went to the federal high court to compel INEC to see him as the authentic national chairman of LP?

To compel INEC to recognize him and accept candidates from his faction for today’s bye election.

What of Apapa ... Labour and labourer in vains .
Funny people judiciary is good today .
Tommorow they will cry about judiciary grin cheesy
The matter of apapa has long been overtaken overtaken by events!
In that event, the courts brokered a peace between LP and NLC where it was agreed that Abure would vacate his position by 2023 but was extended because of the election to 2024 before the power drunk Abure now set in motion a chain of events that has now caught up with him!
Apapa matter has long expired and anyone bringing back his expired matter is ignorant of what transpired in the past!

If the supreme court has set aside the verdicts from the lower courts that proclaimed him as the national chairman, doesn't the matter go back to the same position or status where INEC had refused to recognize him based on their non attendance of the Abure led national convention?

Do you even know the real meaning of coalition? I don't think so.
They claim to know politics but actually know nothing. He doesn't know that Obi having full control of labour party will give him a bigger stake in the coalition

Under normal circumstances now, police is supposed to go band remove illegal occupants from Labour party office, but trust me, all the security agencies would develop cold feet instantly and would be jittery to do the needful, but if it's APC, hell will let loose.

It's a simple decision if you followed the timeline of this event!
INEC didn't attend the Abure convention hence didn't recognize Abure as national chairman.
Abure took INEC to federal high court compelling them to recognize him as national chairman of the party which he was successful in both lower courts but supreme courts set aside their verdicts as they had no jurisdiction!

The matter goes back to status quo where INEC had refused to recognize Abure as national chairman!
So no matter what Abure does,no court will give a contrary judgement to the supreme court!

“This is another unambiguous affirmation of the rule of law and the Supreme Court’s binding pronouncements.

This is what you hear when the judgement favour them. If other way round they will start drooling

LP is actually a fall back plan for Obi Incase he doesn't get the ADC ticket or if the courts give an unfavorable judgement to the faction he supports in ADC!
If LP is properly sanitized,it's a good backup plan for him!

Explaining INEC’s decisions in its dealings with Abure and the LP after then, Mohammed deposed that: “The defendant (INEC) cannot accept and issue access code for upload of candidates nomination forms EC9, EC9f and EC 9g for the bye-election scheduled for 16/8/2025 to plaintiff (Abure-led LP) as there were no valid National Chairman and National Secretary for defendants to deal with as provided in exhibit INEC 2.”
