Macphenson:Is not the Igbo being tribalistic. It's about them choosing a competent leader. |

Starpro87:In the history of Nigeria civil engineering and road construction, there's has not any minister with radical local content initiative into road construction like Umahi. Julius Berger used to be the best road construction company, but the concrete framework introduced by Umahi is the game changer, creating lasting and durable road as well as boosting our cement and iron industry |

This is a clear indication that you're one of those Igbos who believe Ebonyi state people are not real Igbo. If not Eng. David Umahi should be NO 1 on the list. Nevertheless below are the competent Igbos who can be considered, supported, campaigned for and are competent whose antecedents and past deeds will speak volume for: 1. Eng. David Umahi 2. Dr. Okonjo Iweala 3. Prof. Charles Soludo and 4. Hon. Kalu (current deputy speaker house of representatives? Lalasdiva: |

Lalasdiva:Is this the first 4 of LP or PDP? Otherwise where is Soludo and Okonjo Iweala? I trust these two more than anyone. |

ogunsbanjul:Kalu is unelectable, NOI will not sell in the Muslim north. Brilliant as she is, she is Female, Christian and Ibo and has no political experience. Another problem with NOI is that although an Ibo, she is not technically from the SE. the powers that be will view her candidacy as a problem because it won’t silence the agitation from the SE because the SE will still say they haven’t had an Ibo president. |

jaxxy:It generally has to be. The job of a president is more about managing politicians. If you can’t manage politicians they will overwhelm and destroy your presidency. |

casualobserver:U don't need to be a politician to mange politicians or or countries affairs. Many of these politicians are accidental politicians who ndid study political science or related courses. Buhari, obasanjo, Abacha where not politicians but Baracks soldiers. Mko abiola was not a politicians but a businessman. Alex otti snd Peter Obi were bankers or so and stumbled into politics so anybody capable of leading well can be a president. |

In if Umahi or Soludo is not worthy of brcoming a president then no Igbo man alive in your generation will become a president. You can take that to the bank. ukukaegbu: |
| Re: Four Most Marketable Presidential Materials In The South East by Macphenson: 12:00pm On Aug 16, 2025 |
Shawarmagirl:Exactly. Igbos will not vote any of the baove mentioned because they did not prove their competence. Thats why we want APC to field any of hem to prove that. |
| Re: Four Most Marketable Presidential Materials In The South East by casualobserver: 12:01pm On Aug 16, 2025 |
jaxxy:MKO Abiola has been a politician since the 1970s. He was the main financier of the NPN, His so called business empire was intertwined with govt. even concord newspapers was established as a mouthpiece for the NPN. In fact I need to check but he was already in politics before the 1966 coup (confirmed below….. he was state chairman of NPN in 1979). Nigerian soldiers are politicians. They’ve been running the govt since 1966. OBJ, Buhari and Abacha had been either ministers, governors or/and members of the SMC or AFRC since 1966. As for obi and Otti. Managing a state is not the same as managing a countryq. It’s easier to step into government at state level than national level. Accidental politicians fail at the national level. Examples being GEJ who wasn’t in control of his govt and Osinbajo who was sidelined in govt even referred to as a mere commissioner and lost his polling units and was humiliated in the primaries.

[quote author=Ttalk post=136472410]Ngozi okonjo Iweala Soludo Umahi Bianca These are the only marketable Igbo that can win election in Nigeria presently. Oga park one side. Who made you God to decide what happens? Is there any politician in Nigeria that's not ethno religious? Speak as a man that doesn't know tomorrow, not as God who knows all things. |
