In other words,it's now back to status quo where INEC refused to recognize Abure as national chairman due to their non attendance of the national convention by Abure!
Good one even if you don't want to say it!

INEC said the party doesn’t have a national chairman and Secretary. It’s not just only Abure, it also includes Apapa, Nenadi and any other factional leader of the party.

Did I say anything about Nenadi Usman?😂😂
That will depend on their NEC which the last time I checked is backing the Nenadi Usman faction!

Why do I feel this could be a trap for Mr obi? huh
You’re quite discerning! It’s a known fact that Tinubu has the judiciary in his pocket, so nothing should be left to chance! Since he’s yet to make a stand on which party he intends to seek the presidential ticket on, they’re now getting a bit worried and impatient! So this could easily be a ploy to force Peter Obis’ hand and get him out into the open to commit to a particular political party so they know where to concentrate their sabotage plans! wink

When ADC feeds candidates, INEC will declare that Nwosu's tenure has expired and everything don under him is invalid. Na then your eagle eye go open. We are using LP to test run and you people are cheering it now. Na tears go end am.
No Be Juju Be Dat?
To what end?

Funny thing is that most of you will know better how things are damaged in Nigeria by the time you start hitting 50's.

If you think it's all about Tinubu, Atiku or Obi, you are the most miserable person created by God.

They are destroying your institutions and they are also destroying your future.

Common sense is not to common.

As usual, the press is trying to misrepresent the court judgement. The high court struck out the matter in-line with the Judgement of the Supreme Court that clearly states that courts lack the jurisdiction to entertain issues relating to the internal affairs of Political Parties and nothing else.

Even though INEC filed an affidavit claiming Abure’s tenure has expired, the commission also clearly stated that the party has no recognized national chairman and Secretary that the commission can relate with. By implication, INEC has not recognized both Abure and Nenadi Usman.
Exactly. I was in court because I have a matter before Justice Liman and that's what he said. Meanwhile a High Court in Nasarawa recognized Abure in a judgment dated 25th July 2025 which judgment was submitted to INEC. I have a copy of the judgment. On INEC platform, they recognised Abure as LP chairman till today. It was the basis of the Nasarawa Court ruling that INEC uploaded the details of LP candidates for FCT elections which they refused to upload before now. Justice Liman acted in error because his court is a court of equal coordinate jurisdiction with the State High Court so he couldn't have make a different pronouncement. That would have amounted to judicial rascality.

Why is Abure so desperate to remain as chairman of LP. I don't understand the desperation. No wonder he he was romancing APC and Wike to remain as chair and sell of LP in return.

These politicians are criminals

Nigerian politicians are usually this desperate and despicable because partisan-politics is the only job they know and what has made them stupendously wealthy! The likes of Tinubu, Wike and Abure owe the relevance the wealth they have today to the murky waters of Nigerian partisan-politics and the opportunity it has afforded them to get into gov’t, hence their desperation to cling on to power!

I thought as much, found it weird that a lower court will give a counter rule on something the supreme Court already decided on

Make una give up na grin

INEC will eventually recognized the leadership that will come via Nenadi's convention to elect substantive leaders.

Obi will have several platforms to contest 2027

Nobody cares anymore. Tinubu and Wike and can do with the party whatever they seem fit.
Atiku and Obi will contest on the same ticket, whether APC likes it or not.

We all know that is their greatest fears. cheesy

Abure and Apapa can now rest. It is really sad the kind of institutional chaos, impunity, rascality and lawlessness that have engulfed this nation under this government is really appalling
What has this got to do with Apapa again?

By the way, if I read clearly, the judgement says he is no longer chairman now that his tenure has expired, it doesn't say who the new chairman is so I guess elections are oncoming.

I have no sympathy for LP though, your own party members were shunted aside to give Peter Obí, who has zero interest in your party ideals, the Presidential ticket. Your board deserves all the turmoil and I hope the money Peter Obi gave you was worth it

Welcome to a new style of politics fuelled by Ghana must go bags, same as the old style

Stop being misled!
Even the former secretary's name of labour party that had long tendered her resignation letter last year is still there!
Even former chairman of apc Ganduje's name is still on INEC website as current apc chairman!😆😆
INEC had come out to quote the supreme court judgement stating that those selected under Abure faction in the just concluded by-elections were null and void due to the expiration of abure's tenure!
Seems you just woke up after 5 months...good morning oh😃
