I'm so happy to be here again this year to give another testimony of my victory. I celebrate today five years since I buried the addiction of pornography and masturbation, which had plagued my life for many years. Glory to God who wiped my tears!

There are generally two groups of people struggling with addiction:
1. Those who are addicted but secretly enjoy it and don't see anything wrong with it as they have given up entirely, accepted their fate, and invite others to join them in their doom.
2. Those who are tired, who sincerely want to quit the addiction and cry behind closed doors, but have always failed.

It is to the latter group I direct this testimony. Beware!
You see that if someone could do it and hasn't returned to the addiction in five years, you also can do it and break free if you really want!

Note: As I've always emphasized, I didn't replace this addiction with sex (as many people propose as a solution). All through my recovery stages till now I've never engaged in sex, as I'm not yet married. Glory to God!

Remember I was also told that it was 'impossible' to quit this addiction when you were hooked. I also suffered terribly. I had also failed and failed, until I looked at this addiction with red eyes and said 'enough is enough, today na today!'

This testimony is to encourage anyone struggling with the same (or any other) addiction that total victory is possible. Seek help. Run to God. Engage in accountability. Don't give up!

I told God something back then: I want to be a model to youths (especially young men) that you can live without any addiction and without premarital sex. God granted my request and here I am today five years after! Brothers, yes it is hard but this is possible. This is my life now. JESUS is KING!

Till next year. God spare my life.

A wise man said it's very difficult to overcome porn/masturbation because humans are naturally wired for sex.

This is why after repentance, many often go back to it and keep repenting continually.

The wise man said to overcome this besetting habit, commit quality time to the Bible as you do to social media.

The word of God will transform your mind/thinking, but it's not a flash in a pan.

Both even more importantly, the Word of God helps you grow spiritually above the sinful deeds of the flesh.

How many years have you celebrated over fornication.

By the grace of the sun and the stars, I was able to stop mine in 2021 after masturbating for 15 years. A childhood friend lured me in to it

I'm now younger, fresher and more energetic

And living in good health

I no longer take medication, as I usually fall sick in the past all the time

How do you feel convinced that your 'unholy' prayers do get to God?

One of the ways to breakfree from this habit is by replacing it with another habit. So For you to abstain for five years without sex, you really try.

This thing is very dangerous when it's entered addiction level. From draining your focus and motivation for other productive activities and host of others.
