What's so special in celebrating birthdays? With the little years I've spent on earth, I can attest to you that this celebration is so uncommon some two decades ago. In coming yrs, it will take another shift and become something else. Humans with short memory!

Being alive hale and hearty to witness another year is Worthy of celebration..... although, there're some who overdo it.... moderation should be the key in everything. What I saw as madness lately is SS3 signing out and doing all the University FYB events. |

That's what happens when you open the floodgate of madness, it becomes worse as time goes by. same awaits birthday celebrations. Why do you disapprove of SS3 signing out but not birthdays, are they not both celebrations? Newborn27: |

YoobaNesan:Just like I've clearly said, moderation is the key in all that we do.... imagine people now celebrating one month babies, baby shower, it's civilization and it's affecting many. I'm against SS3 doing FYB week cos it's not the time to go around jubilating when they're still awaiting WAEC/NECO, JAMB, UTME results and GP to build in the school. |

It's same thing. What started as moderation, as time goes by, becomes madness. For the bolded part, if the floodgate of birthdays were not opened, we may not have seen their occurrence. Newborn27: |

I thought I was the only one pondering on this! The one that makes me laugh is when parents buy gift packs abi na party packs for all their children's classmates. After hosting a lavish party niyen o. Me? Ajegunle man? Tufia! On each of my children's birthday, we all go out and have nice time. Then, I'll buy them gift to complement. But to spend my money for total strangers in the name of birthday? Or because I want to show off that money na water? The devil is a liar! #Picks_tooth |

I don't do birthday parties... Last time they hosted a surprise party for my birthday, I was pissed because I don't like being the centre of attention, but I had to pretend as if I loved it since I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. |
