I wonder why APC guys are gallivanting and rejoicing over a bye election. Who even knows those that are contesting? Comparing a bye election with 2027 will be their undoing? If LP and ADC is dead as they assume is OBI or ATIKU dead? People vote for personality and not party.

Like Kenneth Okonkon said if it is North v South. Then It would be difficult to rig northern votes.

Lol. Dont mind them. A lot of Nigerians are analytically blind because they are way too emotional than is healthy.

Tinubu is a powerful incumbent and the Presidency remaining in the South, under him, is a bigger project than Atiku’s toxic sole and dishonorable ambition.

Many influential Northerners will support PBAT and work against Atiku for their own permanent political interest and not for any love of Tinubu.

APC 2022 Primaries showed this. Even on this our Nairaland many claimed Tinubu will lose because Buhari and Northern hawks are against him.

I told them Jagaban will win easily and overwhelmingly because Northerners who will be voting, and not some emotional loudmouth on Nairaland, will support Tinubu because their own personal and future political ambition/interest is more important to them than doing 'abobaku' for Buhari and some desperados.

That exactly what happened. I.e Tinubu won the APC primaries with a landslide. Same will play out in 2027 against Atiku.

Rigging is the only way to succeed in the North? Many of you dont know the region at all to note the success that 'motivated' grassroot mobilisers can achieve.

Not every region is like the SE where they vote hatefully and clannishly 100% of the time and even against their own best political interest. You guys keep forgetting PBAT is not seeking landslide win across the North in 2027.

Strategically and practically Tinubu, you people think Northerners hate and will reject, only needs to do well enough in the North to remain President.

Bye election was so unimportant yet Peter Obí was campaigning for some candidates.

Obi can't guarantee Anambra, Atiku can't Adamawa, El Rufai can't Kaduna, Dino can't Kogi.

We need an opposition with men and women of timber and calibre, not paperweights.

I am not saying LP or ADC is dead, but I bet you they are not denigrating bye elections like you are, right now, they and their supporters are very concerned.
