What are you saying? Never gonna happen. Apple doesn't have a publicly available search engine so it was easy for Google to get them to use its own search as default. Microsoft owns Windows, Microsoft owns Edge, so two different cases entirely. They can never accept any fee from Google except they are willing to let their browser go extinct.
The only thing Google could try is perhaps buy out Edge but that is also not possible.

Chrome has nice extensions but eats up your ram if your system is low-end. However, Windows edge can't beat them out if the market with threats only.

Microsoft integrated copilot Ai hoping to come top above chrome but it didn't work magic as users are already in love with Google chrome. Anyways, Microsoft need to find a marketing edge and stop aggressive approach.

all the extension chrome uses, Edge is able to use same extensions and use it and work fine....

It's so annoying now and with the end of free updates pushing every Windows 10 user to a Windows 11 by October, they are about to ramp up.

I turned off app updates a while back for some peace but these anti trust practices are going too far.

I will keep using Chrome, monopoly of both os system and browser is not advisable, too much power corrupts.

They would be replaced by android versions. Even though I use a pc I use third party document processor also available on play store. Google should get aggressive as Microsoft.

Almost all apps encourage you to sign up with Gmail. Streaming platforms do well on Chrome. Anything Google touches turns to gold

Microsoft edge that is full of bloatware and the worst is that you can't uninstall them easily. They will force them on you again in the next update. I hate that browser with passion.

Just like the GMO they're bringing to Nigeria. It will take a while for people to understand that it's full of bloatware that can't "uninstalled" easily.

I can’t use Microsoft edge for debugging in web development. Their (edge) JavaScript engine is poor

For me I believe that the biggest mistake Microsoft made in the browser war was ditching the Internet Explorer and replacing it with Edge, it would've best been served if it maintained the IE with additional upgrades to the Edge's smooth UI, improve the JavaScript utilities etc. Ditching IE lost quite a lot of the browser market for them especially the old school guys like myself

Very true, all have their software bloat but in chrome, you can control it well but not in edge. They will force you to install it again. I use Brave browser, chrome brother, but without any bloatware, at least cleaner version running on the same engine.

I use chrome because it’s probably more versatile than a lot of browsers out there.

The catch: I really hate using (Chrome browser), because Google are very shameless data miners. They do everything to collect all manners of data off you, however hard you try to protect yourself.

If Edge can be made more user-friendly, less bloated and with a better search interface, I think it’ll start winning more users off chrome.

That Chrome has more users today doesn’t mean the users want to be with Chrome if they had a better alternative.

Safari would have been a lot more attractive if it’s full deployment on Windows was made a priority.

E be like him mean Ai chat agent apps like chat gpt & deep seek go make search engines like Google & Bing become obsolete soon.

But him still they wrong because those chat agent done already they implement search engines as part of their features and even search engines done they implement AI as part of their features too.
