By-election: Peter Obi, El-Rufai hiding over loss, yet to wish IBB happy birthday – Omokri

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has mocked former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi and ex-Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai over the loss of their parties during the Saturday’s bye-elections in their states.

Omokri said neither Obi nor El-Rufai has recovered from the defeat to wish former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida a happy 80th birthday.

Posting on X, he warned that Nigerians should expect rigging claims from the duo.

He wrote: “Neither Obi nor el-Rufai has recovered enough to wish General Babangida a happy birthday as he turns 84 today.

“These are people who previously marked IBB’s birthday. Today, they lost their voices. This loss really hit Tom and Jerry hard.

“Peter Obi has still not tweeted today. Nasir el-Rufai is still in hiding. This loss really hit Tom and Jerry hard.

“By tomorrow, after they must have recovered, expect claims of rigging from Peter Obi and his new sidekick, Nasir el-Rufai, the duo, also known as Tom and Jerry.”

No bro I disagree, if you noticed I have been seeing all your comments and quotes about politics but I don't to get involved. But on this I will. Let me use Anambra as an example, till tmrw ndi Anambra will continue to vote for APGA in local govt, legislative and governorship election all bcus of Ojukwu not bcus Soludo or any of them did well or not.
But presidential election will be different. We all saw it in the last election. So in a way, this current bye election is not and won't be the reflection of how 2027 will go.

It is not, never. ADC is still regrouping and political landscaping is still talking shape ahead of 2027 elections. When did they resolved to adopt ADC? Is it not last 2 months?
