my dad should be the first to be of help to my mum but he has often been something else.



to worsen it, my mum has shown the most miserable sort of confusion i have ever seen.


sometimes, she would complain bitterly and reprimand my dad 4 being uncaring towards her , then 4 no reason ,

she would start defending him by under estimating the insufficiency of my dad's care towards me from 13 july 1997 till whenever anybody believes i should not matter to him again.

i mean that she would claim he has done enough 4 me to require or seek nobody's financial assistance towards feeding,clothing or shelter at any point.



what bullcrap!


when i noticed how she herself was suffering (working so hard/much but earning so little),

though she keeps denying it at the mention of seeking assistance,

i ALSO informed/reminded church leaders.


although i am not entirely pleased with the MANNER in which the HELP has been rendered at several points , i can't say it never happened.



the first and only cooking gas cylinder she has ever bought was gotten through that(help by the church).

please note that she has been trying her best in terms of tithes/offerings since the 90s.

let me continue,

the first and only bag of fertilizer she has ever acquired,
which i later helped her to sell for 40k ,
was gotten through that.


now ,she describes every financial request i make as a foolish request .



when I ALSO tried to get this or that apart from financial assistance through church leaders or other church members, how did they respond?


Yeah, i describe it as this or that because i wonder why you would think or claim or state that i cannot or that i never seek anything apart from financial assistance for myself or family members.


What sort of meaningless insult is that and where will it take you!

when i TOLD you that i COULDN'T afford any tertiary institution, how did you even respond?

Does it mean i don't believe i can ever pass that level!

As in , where is the evidence that anybody wanted to financially ensure that i ACQUIRED THIS OR THAT SKILL OR CERTIFICATE!


In fact,nobody can achieve anything without sufficient care and if someone is not getting FUNDS SUFFICIENT TOWARDS FEEDING,CLOTHING AND SHELTER, through whatever job he does or wherever he is working at any point or/and whatever support from anywhere,

then how the heck will he acquire any skill or certificate even if he wants to?

but people on this forum often claim it is wrong to observe the sensitivity/seriousness of matters like this.

they believe it is more reasonable to deliberately worsen the problems of others with useless contributions that can only worsen the situation.

but that doesn't mean you owe me worthless comments that will go back to you through your children.

Even if i'm not huge though kinda tall and maybe looking dam mature , does it mean people should randomly suspect me because i answered them?

I am sorry that your father and mother are irresponsible in the way you describe. You are not alone in your struggles, as that is the case for tens of millions of other Nigerians. Please do your best to survive the best you can.
That said, be sure not to repeat the mistakes of your progenitors. If you look hard into their past, you may be shocked to find that they are just forwarding the trauma that was inflicted on them by their parents or caregivers. You need to do your best to ensure the generational trauma ends with you. This is so that no one will, in the future, come on here to complain about you being a terrible parent.
