Our plan is to round off on the lintel height by tomorrow...........

We are doing a 10 course block height here before the lintels.

We are targeting a total headroom of about 3.6 meters.........................

We want to do a scaffolding work around the blocks laid in this house, this scaffolding will aid us to work better around the high walls. We will be using bamboo scaffolds to create a strong frame to support our workers here. ...................

Scaffolding is any type of temporary structure, or supports built around a work area to aid workers to reach higher in relative safety to work on any ongoing new work, maintenance, or a cleaning process in a building structure. An example of a structure where scaffolding is usually done to support the work process is a home building project. Different kinds of workers will work on a scaffolding during the life of a home building project, masons, carpenters, plastering workers, screeding teams, electricians, painters and even cleaning workers will work on scaffolds from time to time.



Scaffolding could be done on, and around every kind of building structure, be it residential, commercial or industrial buildings. There are a lot of materials that could be used to form scaffolding supports on a building project, they include;



1. Iron scaffolding

2. Aluminium scaffolding

3. Bamboo scaffolding



In iron and aluminium scaffolding, there are fixed types, there are also adjustable types that are fixed with bolts, some are jointed by way of removal of the different components to move the scaffolding to another part of the work.



In bamboo scaffolding, the scaffold is usually built by bamboo of different sizes nailed together by a professional, then additional work is done to provide more stability and firmness to the different components that make up the scaffolding. There is also the use of specially made straps to tie down the ends and joints of the scaffolding, there could also be the use of iron strips (binding wires) tied like ropes around each joint.



All these are processes made to ensure the safety of bamboo scaffolding form works. It's usually advised that workers who will have to work on scaffolds are additionally provided with fastening tools to provide additional safety, and suspend workers mid air, in the event of accidental slips or falls. These fasteners come in the form of belts, ropes and suspenders that hold workers working at heights. One important thing to consider in a scaffolding is the nature of work that will be done, so that the right kind of spaces are provided in the scaffolding, while ensuring the safety of workers. Safety of workers should be the most important consideration above all else, ensure that your scaffolding works meets intentionally accepted safety standards.

Now, let's supply this site with iron rods for our use on the lintels and columns of this house.............

Buying wood for the lintels of this building, we are loading from the untouched direct load from the sawmill. This is how I get sound wood for my sites.................

The wood, offloaded at site, is now being used............

We have ramped up supply of many materials, blocks, chippings, sand, cement etc.......................

Things are really costly cout there now.

We intend to start working on the front columns of this house today..............

We had completed the lintels of this building by yesterday............

We have started working on the decorative columns in the front of this house, we will have 6 of such pillars around the house...............

Creating our mold for this pillar design we want to craft here...............

And th4 exact pillar we want to replicate..............

Please, what are the safe cable size for conduit wires for lamps, wall sockets and kitchen wall sockets.
Between, this is another thread to enrich our knowledge in your various building methods and more grease to your elbow in this era of expensive building materials.

Good evening and thanks for following, for lamps, 1.5mm wires can do the work, 2.5mm for room sockets and 4mm for kitchen wall sockets.

However, if you're using strong and good quality cables like Cutix, you can use 1mm, 1.5mm and 4mm respectively. Thanks.
