Tinubu Restoring Stability, Hope To Nigeria – Okowa by treesun(op): 7:45am On Aug 19, 2025
Former Governor of Delta, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has said President Bola Tinubu is bringing stability and hope back to Nigeria.

Okowa stated this on Monday in Abuja, at a national summit organised by the Integrity Group of Nigeria, with the theme “Renew Hope Agenda through Continuity.’’

Okowa, represented by his former Special Adviser on National Assembly and Inter-Governmental Relationships, Pascal Adigwe, stressed the need for Tinubu to continue in office for the people to benefit from his policies.

He described Tinubu as an ”action president” who has accepted responsibility, unlike some past leaders.

”Tinubu’s decisions might be tough or rough, but they are yielding positive results.

“Tinubu is bringing stability. He’s bringing back hope. He’s taking the bull by the horn. He’s not referring to issues in the past or how the past was governed.

“He promised Nigeria that he will come to the saddle and take responsibility. That is what he has done,” Okowa said.

The former governor expressed his total support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, stating that the President has demonstrated a commitment to taking responsibility for the country.

“We have come, not with liability but assets to make what you have built better.

“We are coming with our experience, with our knowledge of the terrain. We are coming with love. We are coming with resources to better the lot,” he said.

Okowa urged support groups to begin the groundwork for Tinubu’s re-election, adding that he deserves it.

Earlier, the IGN Convener and National Chairman, Dr Oke Idawene, said Tinubu came to power prepared and was working for the prosperity of the country.

“The message of this afternoon is no other than to say never again shall we allow those who are stealing Nigeria’s prosperity to lead us again,” he said.

Idawene added that students now had access to loans, and security was improving.

He said that the progressive governors were already preparing the ground for Tinubu’s victory in 2027 based on his great performance.

Also speaking, Sen. Binta Garba said that when Tinubu came on board, things were not moving well for the country, but he was able to turn things around.

Garba also expressed hope that in 2027, the renewed hope initiative would continue, saying “continuity will make Nigeria a better country.”

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, also called on Nigerians to pray for and give Tinubu the necessary support to make the country better.

Tallen said that the signs were good already, citing the All Progressives Congress victories in the recent by-elections and Nigerian girls winning laurels in sports.

The Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Nora Daduut, commended the group for the national summit.

Daduut, who was the mother of the day, tasked the group members, especially women, to keep the renewed hope initiative message alive.

only assessment of tinubu's performance from the common man on the street can be acceptable. democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people.

Let the people (the masses) give their own assessment of this government. All these greedy polithiefians praising and endorsing balablu for a second term are only doing it for their own selfish interest.

How can you blame Atiku for the defection of the greatest thief in Nigeria when you conveniently forget that when you join APC all your sins are forgiven?
Who does that?

We have come, not with liability but assets to make what you have built better.

I hope you know the assets Okowa is talking about is the 1.3 Trillion naira he stole from Delta State?

Bonjour

What is patriotism defined as according to you?

Slurping at the backside of your current leader no matter how diabolical he is?

Supporting grave illegalities such as suspending an elected government of a state - which may look like stability to you?

Hounding and intimidating opposition - does that look like patriotism to you?

Do you also believe patriotism is echoing every lie told by govt?

This argument can be used to indict MKO Abiola the great since Kingibe jumped ship to support Abacha in no time.

As for BAT, are you sure he still has the loyalty of Shettima? What about the loyalty of his deputies as Lagos Governor. Which of them remained loyal to him?

Coming from a man that misappropriated over N1 Trillion Delta State funds when he was Governor.
It seems the case with EFCC is dead.

Who else notice Ned Nwoko no longer call out the current Governor of Delta State as he use to do. He was just using the criticism to deceive Deltans and sadly some fell for him.

If the masses are allowed to vote freely, everyone know BAT cannot win up to one million votes in today's Nigeria.

This is a tired and dishonest argument. What happened to Okowa's 1.3 trillion naira investigation by the EFCC? Adeleke still has his local government funds withheld, it will be released if he decamps to the APC. If Fubara decamps from the PDP to APC as a conditionality to return to power, your lot will still point fingers somewhere else other than to the one who is using apparatus of state to coerce, induce and weaken all opposition and undemocratically causing rancour in all political parties. What can Atiku do about that? We are simply back to the dark politics of yesteryear.
Re: Tinubu Restoring Stability, Hope To Nigeria – Okowa by hotseat: 8:37am On Aug 19, 2025
Liars are never believed even when they say the truth; so goes the saying!

Okowa is merely fighting for his own political/legal survival and not because of any true love for Mr President.

Not forgetting his alleged crime of siphoning humongous sums from the coffers of the Delta State government leading to his interrogation by the EFCC some time ago.

Just imagine him praising to high heavens a political opponent of only just two years ago.

Tinubu being a very crafty fellow knows this for a fact but would rather accept him as a "political prodigal son" believing that bringing a former political foe into his fold would further enhance his chances of his second term bid come 2027.

Okowa has been forced to eat the humble pie!

Ekueme, my foot!

Kudos to the Jagaban of the universe!
