Days of Morientes and the likes. A Chelsea fan tore my Morientes jersey in 2007 after a champions league semi final match.
The jersey pain me, because Na original jersey wey someone probably shipped out of UK or was donated to charity, but I was able to get it in Nigeria at one Okrika stand.
Jersey demand wasn't really much then, and Liverpool wasn't popular enough to make the jersey a hot cake, so I saw this jersey and loved the way it's clean, on buying it, I noticed that it was even a signed jersey.
I also got an Adidas boot owned by a player of another club then.

Liverpool started having fans in Nigeria after the Miracle of Istanbul in 2005.

I was a heavy supporter of AC Milan until the Miracle of Istanbul. I dropped them for Chelsea seeing they have young and ambitious players then...and I'm so grateful I took that decision.

I became a diehard on Istanbul night, however, I've been supporting before that match, had a soft spot already because of the rivalry against ManU, I was like why should one club continue to defeat another for years, my sch mate mostly support ManU or Arsenal, so they taunt Liverpool Reds claiming Red Devil, that was what motivated the soft spot.
