ouzo1:I would really love to know his qualifications apart from this. How can someone like this govern, and make decisions for a whole state? |

izzou:I will say we have to look at how he has handled other parrt of his life as an adult and how successful he has been A person can fail school and excel at other things in life, Be it business, Sports, entertainment and still be successful to lead I dont think anyone can say Cosmas Maduka or Femi Otedola will not be fit for state governor https://www.nairaland.com/8501299/how-dropped-out-high-school |

raumdeuter:For one Femi Otedola, there are 1 billion like him that never got anywhere. If Femi or Cosmas failed, it is their business that failed, not an entire state. If you had a multinational, would you employ this guy because "he might excel"? It would never make sense to me, how parties, would select someone with a horrible WAEC (the barest minimum of it all), as a governor. |

izzou:Likewise for 1 successful WAEC student who made it in life, there are 1000 who did not Cosmas and Femi have shown that school education is not the only way to be successful, Many go through alternate routes e.g business, military, entertainment, sports etc and are successful. The acumen they used to manage their lives and business to success if they can bring it to the state level will be beneficial There have been Professors who became governors and didnt do well at all, Practical knowledge of real world issues is different from book and theoretical knowledge. As long as you can show us how you became successful at managing your life and business. We saw one former Prof who became governor and his main achievement was the fancy names given to budgets

izzou:Femi otedola is simply privilege, nothing else Same can be said for dangote I read somewhere that when he was younger he had a gambling problem. He was given seed money to start a business then he blew it. They gave him again and he blew it again. Then at hajj in mecca, his uncle forced him to promise never to gamble again.so In effect dangote got three chances. As for otedola I have said it multiple times on this platform that I heard he didn't go to university. I also heard he was doing loan sharking before he met with Obj and got his demurrage free diesel. I witnessed just how uncouth he was as a businessperson and I heard even more. He is just lucky this is naija. he is only around because yardua died. Yardua shut down all the man's perks. Which is why the man was attache to gej like glue after gej was sworn in. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 7:02pm On Aug 19, 2025 |
raumdeuter:There's a difference in not taking WAEC and actually taking it and failing. I can understand a successful person who didn't go to school or who dropped out, but I cannot accept someone who actually took that route but failed or did not show intelligence. |

iamoyindamola:The money they will spend on vigilantes, they should use it to expand the Police force. At least, there's some form of procedure and training for officers. Instead of gathering touts and calling them "Vigilantes" |

Ibime:I don't think this justifies bombing them to oblivion....... human conflict is inevitable but we can tell right from wrong. They keep shifting the goal post....... now the heart of Gaza is the goal.... (Gaza city). Netanyahu has gone too far. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:18pm On Aug 19, 2025 |
GloriousGbola:I disagree totally. There is no one who will make it to that level because of privilege alone. There is no privilege he has that Kola Abiola didn't have 100 times of and now Otedola can employ Kola. The privilege probably gave him a lift and he took it from there Its the same way people try to downplay the hardwork Davido put into his music and claim its NEPO, why his cousin a fellow NEPO no make am? or where is Naeto C today and others who jumped into the same thing |

Spy360:Some people are not just cut for school and academics but when it gets to running a business they will turn you a graduate inside out. While you are paying attention in school they were focusing on other things which they became successful at Some while you were studying were playing football till they became successful, some were focusing on music, some were doing petty trading etc |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 7:25pm On Aug 19, 2025 |
raumdeuter:Do you know what it means to bring in diesel without demurrage? That is like a car dealer bringing in cars with no import duty. Of course he will outsell everyone else. Davido and hard work? The Davido that fifty cent said is not professional? The Davido that once went to mime at a live performance? How Kola Abiola comes into this matter I don't get. It was the late Abiola that had influence, not kola |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:32pm On Aug 19, 2025 |
GloriousGbola:There are so many people that went into the same diesel business at the same time Femi did and fizzled out That is 50cents perspective, if Davido is not hardworking he would have turned to another B-Red instead he is churning out music yearly for the past 15yrs Abiola actually worked for his money, Kola was born into privilege. He had a better head start than Otedola ever did. Yet he is not as successful What privilege does Femi have that is super special that others haven't had in this Nigeria? His father being governor for 18months? Some peoples fathers have been governors for 8yrs, some presidents for 8yrs and nothing came out of it. How many with the same Femi's privilege can say they are billionaires today |

Tochex101:Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel If you are one of the millions of Gazans who wished for, voted for, gave them mandate to, and celebrated the destruction of Israel on October 7th, you have a chance to redeem yourself if you are not with Hamas Leave the City, go to the Camps as instructed and allow Israel get rid of this Hamas for you in the city, and 99% of you will be safe. You will then return under a Civilian administration which you prefer. And when you cry about destruction, cry about Hamas who use your Hospitals, homes and population centres as operational base, turning you into human shields and calling down airstrikes on your home where they are shooting from, or booby trapping |

Tochex101:What will you do if you were in Israel's shoe where you have a neighbor who swore they must destroy you and have tried multiple times to do it The last one killing 1,400 people |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 8:21pm On Aug 19, 2025 |
raumdeuter:Such people can only prove whatever they are successful at only when they are able to identify those areas and become active in them. That means I cannot see an itibolibo and say he will succeed in business or governance just because one rare person succeeded. As a matter of fact, the chances of an academically intelligent person succeeding in any other venture is far higher than an unintelligent person. |
