I prefer 2012-2013 version

They are available everywhere. It's only very few that were manufactured then and mostly bought and used by banks. Any car brand used by banks are usually fuel efficient and durable. That's why banks buy certain brands like this to save cost. I use one currently and to say the least, no challenge at all

Because of improved catalyst technology and O2 sensor, and most 2003 to 2008 model in Nigeria don't even have factory fitted catalyst due to theft in Nigeria, so you might not be entirely correct with the fuel efficiency because the later model have very small engine capacity, 1.8 engine

Catalyst and O2 sensor has little to do with fuel efficiency, these components have more to do with the carbon monoxide content of the exhaust fumes (environment protection issue).

You cannot compare the latest models of cars with their oldest versions. The latest versions are usually better in all ramifications. They are carefully planned and manufactured. The same way some think that the 2003 version is better than the 2020 version, is the same some people thought in those days that the 1999 or earlier versions were better than the 2003 version.

When Nigeria went from Peugeot 404 to 504, many lamented. The same happened when we went to the 505 model, which was better designed. The same happens about planes and houses. Why not say that houses built in 2003 are better than houses built in 2020? What about clothes? The same for drugs and medical science. Life daily gets better everyone.

I have worked as a big company mechanic and later rose to fleet supervisor then manager.

I have special interest in vehicle speed control and fuel efficiency, and I have undergone different trainings on these fields, so when I speak, I speak with absolute authority you can take to bank anywhere in the world.



That being said, you are right that catalytic converters are primarily known for their role in reducing harmful emissions, they also have a significant influence on a vehicle's overall fuel economy. Cars with their factory fitted (followcome) catalyst don't consume as much petrol as those that have no catalyst.


On the O2 sensor, hear this, the oxygen sensor in a vehicle affects how much fuel your vehicle's engine burns. You maybe wondering how? I will explain below.


Oxygen sensor helps to measure oxygen level in your vehicle's exhaust. So by measuring the oxygen levels in the exhaust, the O2 sensor helps to ensure your vehicle meters (calculates) and delivers the correct amount of fuel depending on the demands you place on the engine.

As person don grow pass the level of entering the service pit or going under vehicles doesn't mean we don't forget our root/foundation

I would advice you to consider Honda Accord model for the same years. In terms of stability, speed, interior design and performance, Honda is better.
